Do I have a missing splash shield?

Greetings. I recently had some work done to my 2002 4runner after it got into an accident. I live overseas and where I live the local garages are not as efficient as they are back home in the states. After the truck was repaired I decide to perform an oil change and I found a few things missing. Bolt, small skid plate, etc. I wanted to see if anyone can tell me if there was a splash guard between the radiator and bumper? Please see pic below. When openning the hood I can see straight down to the ground behind the grille. For some reason I thought there was a splash shield there but I could be wrong.

I don't have one on my 97 either.
The '96-'98 front bumper is different than the '99-'02 setup.

Here is a picture of the front underside of my OEM bumper:

There is a small plastic air guide that attaches to the back of the impact bar, but there is no continuous air dam between the skid plate and bumper.

I think the OP is talking about the air guide that would be ABOVE the radiator.

I see on your pic that your bumper is attached in two places. I have those straps on my repaired bumper but it's not attach to anything? . Do you know that playstic portion of the bumper is connected to on those two straps? Do you have a closer picture? I wonder if it's this part called "support 53915-35010".

Thank you!

Post a good picture of the underside of your bumper. You may be missing a number of parts under there. What parts were replaced on your truck?

The outer bumper (chrome section with upper and lower black plastic sections) is mainly held via brackets on the front body mounts on the outer sides of the frame. There are also mounts at each corner to the fender (on rubber isolators).

You may be missing the main front impact bar that is behind the bumper, which is where those two lower plastic tabs bolt on. Those don't really hold the bumper, they just support the plastic lower section a bit.

Zoom in on that pic - the bolts for the lower plastic tabs go in to a very solid impact bar. Just behind that, attached on the back side of the impact bar is another air dam piece (not sure if it protects the radiator from debris or guides air somehow).

Thank you! So I do have the impact bar but I don't have that air dam? Would happen to know that part number or a pic on how it looks like? Thanks again for your help

Post a good picture of the underside of your bumper so we can see what is missing. It may be unimportant stuff you can just leave off...
