Do I have an alarm?

Hi folks. First time posting here. Have had my 2000 T4R for a little over a year and I love it. Had suburbans all my life but have always liked my friends T4Rs. A little while back my check engine light came on and I ignored it (oops) till one day she just died in the middle of the road. I have a motorcycle so I rode it for a while till I saved enough to fix whatever the problem is. The battery was dead when I went to check it out so I took out the battery, cleaned it up good and charged it. Just went to put it in today and when I hooked it up an alarm horn went off and scared the crap outta me lol. I didn't know there was an alarm on this thing. I know there's a blinking led on the dash but I read that was some kind of anti-theft steering lock and the person I bought it from never said anything about an alarm. I have a remote for the stereo (lol) but all I got on purchase was 2 keys. It's starting to heat up in the phx and I'd really like to drive her again but i can't even put the battery in at this point lol. Anybody know what I can do please? Thanks!

not sure why the alarm is going off but I suppose you could pull the horn fuse and then install the battery at least so its not deafening.

Look under your drivers seat. the alarm box is under there.

Thanks for the info man. After searching for a while I found something. I just connected the battery and while it was going off I jumped in and turned the key on and off a couple times and it stopped... for now lol. I'll look into that alarm box and see if I can disconnect it or something.
