do i have xreas suspension?

i do not know how to tell if i have xreas suspension or not. i am pretty sure i do not because there is not any tubing going to the top of the shock. But i am just making sure!!! thank you for the help!

It looks like there is a line at the bottom of the shock in this pic...

Look at your frame, there should be a box there with lines coming out of each side and running along the frame. If there is, you have Xreas.

Ark already pointed it out, but I'll confirm. Yes, it definitely looks like you have xreas on your 4runner.

i just bought 5100 bilsteins and some fj coils, what do i have to do to install them with a stock xreas suspension? or can i just pull that out?
any ideas?

Yup, just pull it. It's in no way connected to the electrical system or anything else that would give feedback to the rest of the car. Just pull off the Xreas and install your stuff. If you search for removing Xreas you should be able to find some thread with pictures.

Edit: Just looked at some of your older posts and in one of your firsts you mentioned that you have a Sport Edition. Xreas was standard in Sport Editions so there's no doubt you have it.

Yeah, definitely pull all of it out if you need to replace it.

post pictures of your project, I'm curious to see how messy it is, probably isnt too bad if you bleed the system out.

How many miles do you have? You can use just the coils or pull xreas and use shocks and coils.

Correct. Xreas refers to the shock itself. You can swap coils and the xreas will still function, but if you want to use the shocks xreas must be removed. Read the suspension faq sticky, it goes into further detail.

Hops how many miles do you have? Definitely read around on this site - there have been lots of people that have traded Xreas for Bilsteins and loved it. I'm not sure I've ever seen anyone complain that they wanted Xreas back. I'll probably go with the same setup as soon as my tires get worn down enough that I need to buy new ones. I want to do it all at once.
