Awwww, I’m so sorry I upset the old members delicate sensibilities with my post. Clearly the way to answer questions asked by new members is to respond with aggression and name calling. How could I possibly have been so immature as to not see that.
Next time I’ll make sure to use words like Snowflake and Kazillion (which comes after gabbagillion) to get my post to the appropriate level of maturity for an elite forum such as this.
I’m deeply deeply sorry for my enabling of posts on the forum.

Im pretty sure I know why all the "older" members are getting so angry about this post. They do not want the device that required them to ghet 2nd battery to be revealed. Well guys I am here to expose and apparently its some new high powered rectal plug that can hit like 12000 RPM. Now that thats settled which 2nd battery should I go with that gets me the longest run time.

I've used forums for more than +12yrs for various cars and things - I usually add 'good' and relevant links to informative posts for newbs because the search functions always suck a$$ and this forum is no different.
Flaming the heck out of the OP is kinda unnecessary unless you get your rocks off on talking down to ppl or your wife/misses is used to wearing the trousers and this is your only outlet then fill your boots!

search function is actually pretty good on here tbh, see here for ALL the ways to search, and it works in the 5th gen section too, just put a 5 where the 4 is. your response shows how much you have attempted to use it:
you: GAH my first search returned NONE of what i was looking for!!! :drama:

Bottom line is almost every topic posted in the first five pages here, has been discussed at least 10 times....but we continue to upset the latest batch of victims.
Just so we level the playing field...I built a rear drawer setup, and have shared the plans with other members on T4R.org , that I'd venture to say (since 2010 to 2016) I've sent out the plans to at least 300 times here (not including Mud and ExPo)...and I have a few other mods in the quick search list that I documented. I've put in my time, I paid my dues

There should be a "Thank Antman" stickie thread right up there next to the "Learn how to Search" and "Modifications"....but your lazy assess won't look at that either. You'll *****....but you won't spend 2 minutes to educate yourself.
I'm not here here to make the new guys feel warm and fuzzy, and good about themselves...they have a responsibility to read the rules and learn how to act accordingly in this community....if they decide to put themselves out there as uneducated, uncaring forums members...then they made their bed, they can lay in it.

The issue is laziness. I’m just a lowly middle school Science teacher, and I even expect my 11-12 year old students look up information and research before I “give” them the answer. As a teacher I attempt to foster independent thinkers and learners. By just giving the answer to a question that has been covered 1000 times and with no specifics or backstory is like just telling my kids “just look here, the answer is in the back of the book in p.567”. Nothing really has been learned and we are hindering people’s level of independence in gaining knowledge. [MENTION=47340]Titanpat57[/MENTION] and [MENTION=65614]Antman[/MENTION] are two of the most helpful people that have been on this forum. All they ask like many of the other Senior members or “Senior Citizen” members like [MENTION=51186]philsey[/MENTION] is a little effort is put in first. It’s not that hard to read the stickies and rules at the top of the 5th gen page, it’s just is someone willing to put in the time to educate themself a little bit first.
When I joined the forum in 2015 after trolling in the forum for about a year as a non-member researching for my vehicle purchase I honestly had very limited knowledge about vehicles, how to work on them other then basic checking and following the owner’s manual and changing tires. Now thanks to countless hours researching and reading through all of the wealth of info from the senior members on here I consider myself to now at least to have a working knowledge of my vehicle (hence why all of my write-ups and threads are titled “mods for dummies”).
My final .02 to this rant is that you will get out of this forum what you are willing to put in...kind of like life.
