Do not buy from Osbey ([email protected])

Received a pm from jay999 to contact Osbey regarding a TRD skid plate he was parting with. Sent money via Zelle after several emails were exchanged along with the phone number and was ghosted. Confirmed he received the money and was going to email tracking info which was never received. It’s been 3 days with no communication. Total scam artist who has been reported to the FBI. Beware on the forum for any future purchases.

This is unfortunately a common forum scam which goes across all makes/models.

"XXX has (insert your WTB title), email them at XXX".

Only accepts venmo, zelle, or any other money transfer which has not protection for the buyer.

same guy contacted me, but I didn't check visitor messages. I did do a search for both users and didn't see any posts and figured it was shady. his message to me was almost the exact same as yours. sorry this happened to you.

I get the same kind of messages constantly. Scammers are prevalent on this forum and admin doesn't care. I even created a thread about it, no reply from admin.

Several of them contact me every week, and they use the same formula then ask for payment via Friends/Family paypal. When I ask for more pics they're unable to produce them, and usually the parts are too well priced to be true. They will also usually tell you a shipped price before even getting an address and for anyone who has ever shipped anything, you know thats ridiculous.
