Yet another scammer - Williamted

Don't buy anything from this T4R scammer Williamted. I covered shipping from Oregon to my house for some OEM 5th gen skid plates. He was ok with Venmo payment, but thankfully, I selected Venmo's "Purchase Protection" when I sent the payment on 9/15/22. Throughout the day, he kept PMing me on T4R that the payment didn't go through and wanted me to try sending another payment to his son's Venmo account. I called Venmo and they said that payment went through and he needed to check his email. I told him that and he finally said something like, "let me check. get back soon."

The weekend came and went and I never received anything. I ended up finding his phone number on another post on this forum where he was selling something else and I tried sending a random text one week later. He actually responded and when I introduced myself, he apologized over and over and promised that he'd provide the tracking number when he was off duty, which was 4 days away. My hopes went up, but I was still wary since it had been over one week and he never said his name or provided more photos when I asked.

So, I started leaving PMs via Venmo so I'd have evidence of trying to reach him. He saw the PMs and sent a screenshot of them via a text, not Venmo. I kept it as more evidence that he received it. As you guessed, 4 days went by and no tracking number sent and, from then on, he's been ghosting me via text. I sent a payment request of $100 via Venmo on the same day and he rejected it. More evidence.

I ended up using the Venmo Purchase Protection and filed a claim and sent Venmo all of our correspondence with his empty promises plus the Venmo rejection as evidence. I expect an outcome within 10-20 days. I'll let you know what happens.

Here's his posted phone number and address:
Venmo account: jimmie-Jones-60
Cell Phone: 626-514-0944

Don't buy anything from this crook!
