Do you regret getting a white 4Runner?

I wanted a white for summer heat dissipation here in San Diego. But my dealer only had Galactic Gray. He gave me $700 off for not having the color I wanted. And Galactic Gray is actually kind of macho. But it does get a layer of Souther California dust on it very quickly (like 3 days and there is a noticable coat of dust). And does heat up during the hot desert sun.

White or Platinum metallic was what I wanted but didn't get.

I have a 4x2 V8 2006 Limited White 4runner for sale with only 4500 miles on it. Not 1 scratch on the truck. It is loaded with every option even a integrated back up camara and a 10 speaker sound system! I bought it and put $5,000 down on the truck. I am willing to sell it for my loan amount of, $32,000.

Let me know, my loss... your gain.

Located in North Carolina, but I will work something out with shipping if interested.

Thanks, but I'm already having a truck delivered to a local dealer. Just need to swing by and look it over to make sure all is well before taking it home.

I knew better than to get anything but white, and I got a silver anyway. I absolutely LOVE my 4Runner but still kind of wish I had gone white.

I've been pretty happy with white. The only time it looked bad was due to an armadillo - kinda hard to miss the blood stains.

I have shadow mica, and the immense metallic undercoat it has on it seems to hide everything. It has the benefits of a black/dark car (when it's cleaned up) and keeps the dirt at bay for a few more days. I get all kinds of compliments on the color.

When I first got it, I kept thinking "bass boat." but I LOVE it!

Gold and silver hide dirt relatively well. I notice that my truck is "dirty" faster with white.

For touching up, however, white is definitely the winner. I have no regrets going with white.

definately agree. Was going to get red or black but could never find one with the options I wanted, after looking for weeks settled on white. I am so glad I did, I can easily go two weeks before it looks like I have to wash it. And when your wife has atypical gasoline-ass it is a great thing to only have to clean it twice a month.

Well, looks like I'll be joining the club. Went to the dealer to look over the car yesterday (obtained through a broker). It was quite dirty, but should clean up just fine. Expecting delivery some time next week, hope we'll be as pleased as all of you who posted your comments.

BTW, it's a WHITE 2006 SR5 4WD V8 with sunroof, 3rd row, and Valor tip. It was someone else's custom order that never got picked up.

I owned a Silver '04 and now a BLACK '06. As far as keeping it "clean", the Silver is much easier, but looks more bland (everyone in Phoenix has Silver, White, or Beige). The Black just plain looks great! But yes, I'll have to wash it about every 3 weeks here to keep it looking perfect. You can go twice that with Silver OR White!

The only thing that I hate about white is waxing the damn thing. can't see the wax.

Amen brother. The only way to really get an idea of how your going with your wax job is to do it in a garage with filtered light. Out in the daylight it just dazzles your eyes.:p

Hate to repeat what everyone here said... But I prefer white on a 4Runner. It's relatively easy to maintain it clean.

My other car (BMW Z4) is titanium grey and it hides the dirt much better, but I wouldn't want that color on my 4runner.

Here's a pic of my rig when I had the Jaos on it... freshly waxed. The Wax can be a pain at times, but if you look at it from an angle, you can see where the wax is.

The thing I love about the white is how all the dark accents stand out..... the scoop, windows, grille , etc. Also, the old style tail lights look good on white. The darker colors definitely look best with the new LED tail lights.
