I dig, and it's not that I don't support 4wd. I enjoy modding and wrenching on my truck, which is why I'm on the forum - T4R, not Toffroad . I'd just rather drive it to the golf course when I'm done rather than the trails. But I'm all for people who buy their trucks, mod their trucks and wheel their trucks.

I guess what I meant to say was, it's rare to find a teenager who bought his own vehicle. And it doesn't matter how mature/responsible a teenager is, when you get a group of teenagers together, there's no room for responsibility. The stupidity of a few permeates the group and quickly flushes that responsibility out the door. I would make my teenager prove he's one of the responsible ones before I bought a 4wd vehicle. And there's still a chance he'd take his friends out and do something stupid in a vehicle I paid for. Maybe 2wd will dissuade him a little.

Back to the thread topic, I also don't think the comments were negative or uncalled for. Just people saying they wouldn't pay $9K. If you're willing to wait, it doesn't matter if 99 people tell you it's too high, you just need one person with cash.

Thank you Jacob, Forums are funny especially when it comes to custom cars. Everyone disagrees when its not like theirs. Its their way to justify their stuff is better. But there is a market for 2wd 4runner. 90 percent of all cars in arizona never see 4wd. Its also here, there are many people who put sliders on their 4runners for absolutely no reason other than looks. I've never disagreed that my truck is priced high or extremely high. People act as if i'm in a need to sell it. I don't. It is going to sit on cl's at a high price to see what happens. I have had many texts about it and have a guy coming tonight to look at it. Its craigslist so i'm sure he'll flake. But the point is, after all the negative comments which were uncalled for on here, it is getting a lot of attention. But i'm sure all the negative people will say the new buyer was an idiot. I have bought and sold over 10 cars in the last two years all custom and I've only lost money on one. ANd it wasn't that much and I honestly don't think i'll lose on this one either.
I'd keep cause I do think its a cool looking truck. But i'm getting older and these things are very uncomfortable and gearing in the rear sucks for these bigger tires. So for me to keep it, I would have to do more modding and I don't like it that much to do all that.
As I said before I'll post how much I sale it for and I'll be completely honest. I think it will be for a lot more than waht some people expect.

If its true you've seen sliders on 4x4's for nothing but appearance..... What do you call a lift kit an AT's on a two wheel drive grocery getter? Lol

Vehicle just sold for 7700. Guy just handed me 500 to hold till tomorrow morning which i told was nonrefundable. Transaction is going to occur at his bank at 9am once it opens. Not the 9000 I posted for but very happy with the price I'm getting.. Actually once again making money on this one.

So what happened here???? At first I did not want to post because I felt my opinion would be rude but now this is begging me to ask the question. No need to lie on a forum. 7700??? Sorry ain't happening. You might be able to sell it to yourself for 7700(9000) but not to anyone who's done their homework on these truck. 4wd for 7700 maybe. 2wd for 7700 and I'll tell you good luck with the sell. So... Isn't that the same exact listing? I think he relisted it for $7900 and accepted $7700. Not sure though. Maybe the OP can confirm.

It is the same listing. Just saw that he posted it as sold on 6-24. Maybe he didn't sell it. How can someone pay $500 and agree to it being nonrefundable unless they completely flaked out. Something is very strange here.

It looks like the original buyer didn't follow through. Maybe he couldn't get financing or something. At least the asking price is more reasonable.
