Miata drivers wave at each other even if we don't know the other driver. Haven't waved at other Canyonero drivers yet, though.

Why do you do that? My friend and I are discussing this. Is it the common bond of having the same vehicle, without knowning anything about the person? What if it's their significant other's 4runner: do they get the wave even if it wasn't their decision to buy it?

If I am wearing the same runners or jacket as someone in the mall should I wave? Just wondering.

Yes it has to do with the common bond of having the same vehicle that you love. Jeep guys do it because they are driving a jeep, a vehicle unlike any other on the road. And now us 4runner drivers are trying to adopt that same brother/sisterhood. No we dont check the other vehicles pink slip to see who the registered owner is before we wave.

If you are wearing the same runners or jacket as someone else, just walk the other way. In that case waving is ummm kinda (G#@)

hahaha nice. i had my camera in hand for the 40 miles i drove to work today. the only 4runner i had was across the light, and i was turning right. figured it was safer not to turn and wave while filming.

almost waved at a few sequias though. this thread will be started!
