Dobinsons 5th Gen T4R Suspension options - from Exit Offroad

Thank you. So what youre saying is by doing UCA's with this set up you are suggesting, I would need to also replace my rims as the OEM ones will rub on the Dobinson UCA's ?
It's not the rim (wheel) that rubs, it's fatter tires that can contact the stock UCA's. Check around on the forum and you'll see plenty of posts about it.

Dobinsons UCA's have more clearance than stock where the tires can rub.

That's what I meant, yes. Is there an email I can reach you for a quote?

Hey bud, if you wanna keep the stock UCA's, then you need to keep the front height to 2.5" or less.

So you could do 2.5" now and have it squat down when you add a bumper later down the road. Then on the rear you could do any height from 1-2". 2.5" front and 1.5" rear is super common.

That way you can add lift now to get a better ride and some height, then just expect it to come down a little later, especially if you're only adding light weight accessories.

Here's a link to the gallery on my site to help give you some ideas:

That sounds good, anyway you could shoot me (here or Pm) a parts list of what i would need to purchase to achieve the 2.5" front and 1.5" rear lift?

Thanks for the quick response and helpful info!

I got the same tire size and I was also looking at that configuration.

According to the website C300 should give 1.75" and C599 about 1-1.25".

Looking at your pictures, the light gain seems greater than that.
Can you confirm?

That’s right at what I got. I was running the Bilstein front at .85 and had some sagging from the stock springs at 85k. I had a full 2” rake before, 1” now. Picked up 1” rear, front hard to say exact because I dropped to the lowest setting and added the springs at the same time. I can say the ride is vastly improved, and handling is better also. Have not had it off road yet.

Has anyone tried dobinsons coils with the Eibach pro truck shocks?

I am putting together a lift and I would really like to go with the eibach shocks.

I feel like I had someone ask about that a few weeks ago, but since they're relatively new on the market, I didn't have any feedback to give him. I'm not sure how different they are than a 5100 style, I haven't seen any myself in person yet.

What coils would I go with for a 2.5 or 3" lift with a slight rake (nose slightly lower)? I go long distances and offroad with some gear in the back (not a ton, just clothes, food, bike, big dog) and don't want the ass sagging.

Is there a kit with the monotube shocks, coils, and UCA's? am I understanding correctly that the Dobinson UCA's are non-adjustable?

2019 TRD ORP with kdss.

I've got the C302's up front (2.5") and C725's in back (2.0", KDSS version of C325)'s.

Nice rake, drives great. These are installed with the IMS (monotube) shocks.

Yeah, I'd suggest what Sundy listed to. 2.5" front and 2" in the rear. The front is all stock weight? Once I know about any added weight at all, I can list out what part numbers I'd recommend.

Yes, there's a kit builder page right here:
Dobinsons 1" to 3.5" Lift Kit Toyota 4Runner 2010-20 | Exit Offroad

I set it up as a "kit" builder because everyone needs something slightly different than the next person.

You can select whatever coils and struts/shocks you like all on the one page.

Yes, the UCA's have 3 degrees of caster added and they are fixed. This means they can't lose their alignment like some of the adjustables have been able to from some people's claims.

I went with the same coils Sundy has (725 kdss offset coils) and carry about 150lbs of gear in the back at all times. Pleased with the rake.

Also have the dobinson UCAs and love the maintenance free nature of them. Was able to get 3.9 caster on them.

yeah truck is all stock. I'll do bumpers at some point but not soon.

got some dope stuff coming and as i understand if 2.5" and under lift no need for uca, correct? what are your guy's experiences?

Probably wont "need" them. I didn't at first with my 2in lift but ended getting a set eventually and wow, what a difference it made. Regret not doing it originally as it was double the work lol

I'm running 255/80s (I wanted 33's but no rubbing and no major hits on MPGs). I got all of that. Still averaging over 19 on the highway, FYI

cool. I dunno if I'm gonna go pizza cutter. I might be real dumb and get wide tires and run spacers, or wider wheels with wider tires. I really don't like the stock wheel stance.

Dobinsons 5th Gen T4R Suspension options - lots of choices

Do the colors in this setup remind anyone else of Saved by the Bell or is it just me?
