Cool.. Was the guy with the service dog and the tricked out FJ, SSG Fry. Left CO December 2013. Miss Colorado though mostly the western edges of the state.

So this happened today with the help of another forum member. @smokatrr
Took a total of six hours with help.
Did the Toytec TRD full kit with front spacers and rear springs.

I cannot mention enough what others have mirrored. The difference is night and day. Why Toyota did not make it like this from the factory is beyond me. The way the TRD Pro should have been setup. I akin the ride to a staged ICON setup w/ remote reservoirs.
I am getting ready to install my BFG KO2 and think that will make another difference in ride and handling as well as traction in 285/70R17.
I also went ahead and purchased a set of XENONDepot LED low Beam conversion kit. I am on the fence on these kits right now. But am dissapointed that my 13 year old BMW with HID self leveling lights was 1million percent better. Things should improve Toyota what where you thinking here with the costs and the proliferation of led technology? Yet, I have to do something to improve my low beam experience. I fixed my high beam with the inclusion of my front LED light bars to be able to be turned on with my high beam switch. Yet regular in traffic or around traffic driving needs something. I am far from blind and am not willing to adjust the headlights up anymore as I am kinda curtious and dont wanna blind every oncommer unless on a backroad in the country. Well you are spacehip shit of luck there, its really dark I need these led bars on forest roads bub. Anyways the factiry cutoff and throw just isnt long enough. So I thought I would try these out with hopes of the factory projectors handling it. Time will tell and I will try to do a decent writeup of my findings. Nothing scientific but based observations for others. Plus, this money came from selling some spacers I had previously.
So keep on checking, there is definitely more to come. I do have some surprises up my sleeve yet want to wait until they come to fruition. I appreciate the follows and comments.

So...something doesn't look right with that strut spring. I don't think it's seated correctly in the rubber isolator, or is it just the pic? Is it upside down?
I dunno- but to me something doesn't look right...

I agree. Going to go back monday and put it back on the lift. Since I was gonna check everything all the torque of bolts and bend back the dust shield yeek. I did have a noise. And this could possibly be it, like the spring upside down or something dunno. Gonna take a very good look.

Yep the spring is either not clocked properly or is inverted ! The end of spring shouldn't be exposed completely .
I am glad I had a chance to help you on Friday. I hope I was help. You have done a great job on your 4 runner. Going on base at Ft Benning and use the maintenance facility was very interesting. Ft. Benning is known for their shooting ranges that are sometimes open to the public.

Cant see the line because if the spare. It goes up to the tire to the T.
Didnt take a picture but the valve is in the top of the bumper under the hatch on the roghtsode. Thatnls for the idea antman.

As promised. Some photos while out today exploring the Cohutta Wilderness up here in GA. Recent upgrades somce the last photos are the change of the tires from the stock Nittos to BFG KO2 285/70r17.
Enjoy: There is more to come eventually. Most likely the other big stuff will happen after the first of the year due to family, holidays, medical, training, and most importantly funds to do so.
Ill have a few small things that are already in the works here soon. To finish off the Headlights to LED, most likely a fog light upgrade, and will get the rock lights installed here soon. Still need to finish getting the switch lighting sorted out when I have a little time.

I was seriously loking at getting a rooftop tent or a trailer and rooftop type of tent. In the end I had the oppertunity to get a tent made by OZ tent new at one heck of a price I could not pass up. Not to mention the issues of having a RTT on the roof all the time, issues climbing the ladder, and the dogs. Ot being able to get up the ladder with us. I started to look at trailers and other options. Comfort and easy of use with durability was the order of the day. I ended up selling my Kifaru 4 man tipi and stove as I no longer can back pack up into the high country and no longer live where it is even possible. It was a fair trade though the new setup is quite a bit heavier.
Ended up with th OZ Tent RV5 with the complete front awning enclosure.

So far the verdict is very positive. Super high quality heavy duty canvas. Setup is super easy and take less than 1 minute to have the entire tent up and staked without the awning room of course. Less than. That with practice. Though now its jsut myself and my wife and two dogs. It gives us room to put two extra large sized cots by OZ tent the King Goanna in the tent horizontally at each end of the tent with room for a small type table/nightstand and room on the sides for other personal gear as well as the dogs beds. Super roomy. Plus the availability of adding a second room to the Awning Room which is screened in.
The only down fall if the pack up size for the tent is quite long and the weight is pretty substantial

Ill post up some pics when we can get out and actually setup the campsight. It is a very flexible system with comfort in mind not trying to keep everything at a minimum. Everything fits real well on my Gobi. I will be adding a ARB Awning on the side of the 4runner. If you are looking for a tent for the family or even the self that can be driven away from and has room for the family gear etc while interested in comfort this is the best that I have seen. Also got there XL Large sleeping bag, very nice. I want to get the pads for the cots and some of their chairs. Everything so though on the upper end of costs is very high quality and heavy duty aluminum and canvas. Cant say enough super duper happy with my purchase. Hate seeing my Kifaru go though.... Give me time alot more to come. Things might be looking up for getting the 4runner where I want it to be.
