Does anybody use Carista?

The thing I'm mostly interested in is being able to open the windows with the remote, but not the sunroof. Dealer says their software only has the option of both windows and sunroof open and believe it might be a difference between trims, i.e. that the Limited might allow the separation of windows/sunroof but not my SR5P.

Given that the Carista is $20 now on Amazon, I bought one and will see what happens.

Interesting. I'm pretty sure I had both options separate, but then the trim level could be the difference like you said. Since you ordered yours, have you been able to test it out?
 
I have. It has the option to turn remote controlled windows/sunroof on or off, not separate options. What trim do you have, and would you check to confirm you can set sunroof and windows with remote control independently?

Limited ... but you're right. When I went back and checked the screen shots I took from the app, it's a single option for me too ... windows and sunroof with the remote.
 
Weird, it's in the manual that they can be set separate, but even the dealer said they couldn't--they assumed it was a trim issue, but I'd think the Limited would be the highest trim for that. (They said they saw the option, but it was greyed out).

Also interesting is that the dealer said they could set it so the sunroof tilted up rather than slid open with the key, but that option isn't available on Carista. (I didn't like that option anyway, as with the sun shade shut, I wouldn't know if the sunroof was tilted open--other than the dash reminder, that is.)

Looking at the Carista app and deciding which bluetooth adapter to go with..I'm assuming using the carista bluetooth makes the most sense, but wanted to see what the general consensus was..Also,anyone here paying for the premium services, is the extra functionality worth it?

I bought the Carista adapter (I know not the answer you were looking for) but for $20 that includes free 30 days of premium services it was totally worth it. I turned off the Eco bar (worth $100+ IMO) and other customizations. I cancelled it after 30 days. There are other apps like Torque Pro, Fusion etc that are highly rated that maybe worthwhile after the Carista customizations.
