Does anybody use Carista?

Well.... I'm either blind as a bat (which I am) or my 2011 SR5 has no Trip meter.
I find no Trip button, and the "mode" button next to the mileage/clock just goes back and forth between MPG and Distance to empty.
Hopefully someone will tell me I'm just blind and the button is under the dash or somewhere...
Kinda sucks to not have a trip meter :-(

There's a little black stick protruding through the clear plastic over your speedometer and other gauges. Press and release to cycle through the menus, press and hold to change settings or reset the trip meter.
 
Not sure if this was answered in the thread, but do you have to keep the adapter plugged in for the changes to work or is it okay to remove? Thank you in advance for the answer.
 
Using Carista on 2015 TEP, sun roof doesn't open or close with the app settings. I can set all windows to open with long press on remote, and will also work with the key, but no work with sunroof.
Anybody else have it working with the sunroof?

I saw the setting in Carista, but it didn't seem to work.
But, just using the trip meter button and setting ECO to off worked. No more light.
So, if there was going to be a Carista setting that didn't work, I'm glad it was that one.

I also used the trip meter original. Carista removes the Eco. Like when you manual shift the trans, it completely gone.
I had to do a few thing a couple times to get some of the Carista stuff to work.
 
For a (very) limited time Carista is temporarily offering existing users a "backdoor" to purchase the old Pro Package as a 1-time purchase.

To use the backdoor on iOS, open the slide-out menu from the left, then pick "Debug menu" -> "Purchase old Pro Package" and follow the prompts.

I would imagine that Android would be very similar.

I have been looking at picking up the scantool and using it for this, hesitant since I am on iOS and it will only utilize wi-fi , anyway...

Forgive me but what is the difference/benefit of the "old pro version"

They've recent changed to a subscription model with pricing. I believe $10 for a week and $40 for a year. The old pro-version is a one time fee of $20 for life.

If you have Facebook send them a PM, that's how they gave me the instructions, or you can send their support team an email (support @ caristaapp.com).

I PM'ed them and sent an email, they responded to the email within the hour.

Glad I checked this thread! I don't have a Carista/iOS compatible OBD interface currently as I bought a Scantool LX when I was on Android and my Automatic interface doesn't work with Carista so I hadn't purchased the app yet. I went ahead and grabbed the app before the ridiculous subscription change.

I was able to get in on this before they made the change. Pretty neat to be able to switch some of these settings up. But I was pretty underwhelmed with my options.

Was really hoping I could figure out how to enable an ejector seat and a heads up display.

Hi, thanks for using Carista. Yes, we are indeed offering that option for a few more days. If you have a car that's compatible with our paid functionality (check on Carista ? OBD2 vehicle diagnostics, customizations, coding & tools), you're welcome to use it. Here are the instructions for Android:

- Open the slide-out menu from the left of the screen in Carista
- Tap on the "Version 3.0" label 5 times in a row. A new menu will pop up.
- Pick "Purchase old Pro Package" and follow the prompts to purchase.

Please let me know if you have any questions or run into issues. Thanks.

How did you manage to get the rear window down? My TRDPro will roll down all windows except the back.

On the app for the 4Runner "Christa" has the sunroof listed to accompany the Windows opening and closing, it doesn't work for me, do you have a fix?
