Does anybody use Carista?

On the app for the 4Runner Christa has the sun roof listed to accompany the Windows opening and closing, it sent workfor me, do you have a fix?

I bought carista, and joined the $40 subscription service. I contacted them, and they told me about the back door for $20 for life, so I bought that too. Now, I just have to cancel the subscription, and I should be good.

So far, I have made two changes, and plan for quite a few more!

In my application, the passenger windows open, but not the sunroof or the back window.

I got the $20 deal, and bought the cheap odb2 dongle, but Carista won't connect to it. I've tried several times, and even followed another member's advice, but to no avail. I did download Torque Lite, and verified that I could connect with the dongle, so that's not the issue I don't think.

I went to the dealer today for my first maintenance, and asked for a few changes. I wanted the chirp turned up to max (he said it already was), but it's nowhere near as loud as my Avalon was. He confirmed the one button unlocks all doors is not an option, and wouldn't turn off the seatbelt chimes due to liability.

I'm going to try to get my money back for Carista. Unfortunately, I bought the app last Sunday, but didn't get the dongle until yesterday, so Google won't help.

Why not buy a legitimate dongle and call it a day? There's nothing wrong with the Carista app

Cool, so are you using the Carista Bluetooth OBD2 Adapter?

Not yet, and I realized my post was wrong. I'm interested primarily to disable the "auto unlock doors when shift to park" I cant stand that. Just because you parked does not mean you are ready to instantly unlock the entire vehicle.

For a (very) limited time Carista is temporarily offering existing users a "backdoor" to purchase the old Pro Package as a 1-time purchase.

To use the backdoor on iOS, open the slide-out menu from the left, then pick "Debug menu" -> "Purchase old Pro Package" and follow the prompts.

I would imagine that Android would be very similar.

I verified it was okay to post this information here.

I can confirm this is still working. Just purchased the pro version for $20 for IOS.

you dont have that option, it would be illegal.

Unlike some others though, I was able to get all four of my windows to go down using the key fob.

Nope, I have been able to turn that off on my last 3 cars one way or another.

No. These are all things that the dealer can do for you at your request although there's usually a fee associated with that. Toyota lists most of these customizations in the owner's manual so they aren't tightly kept secrets that owners shouldn't know about.

Its a fun distraction for the first few weeks, but I havent used it since. Sucks the life out of your iPhone battery. Keep it plugged into your USB power.

Lol much like most little things we buy in this life. Apart from the little bit of fun bling factor, it is a tool, something I run only for specific purposes. I.E. is the charge system working with load, "accurate" temperature readings, other diagnostic stuff. Of course, it reads trouble codes too.

Absolutely, anything constantly running on your phone, OBDII scanners, gps, mapping, ect. ect. is going to trash your battery. lol hell they can't even make batteries that won't explode in your pocket! Until they figure out how to harness a micro nuclear reactor, cold fusion, or some other wonder for battery technology we will always be burdened with the hunt for wall plugs, power ports, and ever nonsensical changing array of plug types that force the consumer to acquire yet more of the stranded bastards

Carista DRL

I tried out my Carista OBD2 and app last week for the first time. I was able to change a few settings and that worked great!
A couple days later I noticed that when I turn my headlight stock from DRL to just side marker/parking light mode, my DRL/High beams stay on. They do turn off when I turn it to off or headlight mode.
I have a 2016 and I swapped out my DRL for LED's that have full time high beam a few months ago. Before I used Carista my DRL/High beams would turn off on side marker/ parking lights.
I don't see any setting for headlights or DRL so I'm not sure what to do. Anyone with suggestions?

Mine have always worked how yours work now. The daytime running lights don't turn off when you have the parking lights off. The daytime running lights will stay off when you have the parking lights off if you start the vehicle with the parking brake on, but once you release the parking brake to drive off, the daytime running lights turn on.
