Does Driver Side Junction Box replacement require programming?

For those of you who have replaced your "Driver Side Junction Box", "Driver Side J/B", "Body ECU" (all the same thing, pictured by [MENTION=123173]Jhelms[/MENTION] here)... I have a question:

>> Is the replacement procedure simply plug and play, or am I going to have to reprogram stuff like the engine immobiliser, etc.?

I'm pursuing the "doors will unlock, but not lock" problem, and I'm not finding a replacement procedure in the service manual. Pages 696 and 1538 recommend "...replace driver side J/B..." for other conditions, but no step by step instructions anywhere. I can wing it if it's just yank out old, stick in new, but winging it's not so good if after sticking in new I have to convince its systems to work again.

I am currently having this issue.

So far I have read where the replacement is plug and play. But I can not speak from experience.

I can say that I have read just about every post on here and other websites about replacing that module do to a failed relay and have never read anybody mentioning about having to flash that.

I replaced mine (2000 Limited 4WD) from a '99 Limited 4WD without a hitch.

Odd, I just saw this. Does not need programming of any type. Qualify the door lock issue before tossing a ton of cash at it though. Do the doors work normally at night or out of the heat? But stop working in the sun or really hot days? The likely the motors need replaced in the door lock mechanisms
