Does Lexus ever offer rebates?

Okay, so my wife wants a new car, so I figure I'll try and keep it in the Toyota family, so we're looking at an ES350. I know toyota offers year end rebates and discounts, but does anyone know if Lexus does the same? I don't see anything yet, but I didn't know if they might later in the year.
Thanks.

Lexus runs a "Taste of Lexus" event across the country and allows you to test drive all the Lexus models against the competition and will give you a $750 gift certificate towards the purchase of a new Lexus. It is a great day when you are allowed to beat-up very expensive new cars (which I got in trouble because the traction control was accidentally disabled on my first test drive), get a meal, a gift (Sterling Silver card tray) and the gift certificate. I used mine on a special order.

Yeah, I actually did that a couple of years ago. It was a blast. They never briefed me before i drove, so I didn't know I wasn't supposed to smoke the tires of the GS430 I was driving. :) They said I drove way too fast on the course and asked me to leave. Oh well...it was worth it.

I was actually wanting to know if they offer the $2-3k rebates that Toyota does every year. If they do, I'll wait...If not, I guess it's time to buy a new car.

Lexus keeps very tight control of the supply and demand of their vehicle. This is why most Stealers are selling Lexus' close to retail. I have not seen any rebates/incentives for any Lexus vehicles. I eMailed every Stealer in NJ with my offer ($1500 over invoice) and only 2 responded. I picked the closest and made the deal (This was a Special Order).

I would look at this forum for more info: http://www.clublexus.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=180

Personally, i would wait till a little longer (at least till mid 2008) for Lexus to work out all the bugs in it, including tranny issues and various rattles.

If you had to buy now, then I would recommend either going smaller with IS250/350 or go bigger with GS350/430. These vehicles seemingly have far less issues than ES350.

As for rebates, there are probably nothing on the way. However, haggling goes a long way. November and December are usually the good months to buy. Choices will be fewer, but you have more haggling power.

Good luck.

Thanks.
yeah, I keep hearing about the transmission issues with the ES350. I saw a few posts that said the more recent builds are okay, but I am still skeptical. I was looking on ebay and noticed that there were a lot of buy backs for sale.
I want her to get the Infiniti M35 anyway, so maybe this will persuade her. :)
