Right as I turned 16 my dad let me drive his '93 F-150 that I had plenty of fun in but then he wanted it back and I got a '90 Accord. It had a rebuilt title that I rallied the heck out of until the day that I got t-boned and it got totalled for the second time. I still miss that little car.

Scored a screaming deal on this as my first car. Bought it pretty much stock and then I changed a few things

32v 4.6 V8, catless X-pipe, flowmaster 10 series, Steeda tri-ax short shifter, C&L inlet pipe with Kenne Bell cool air kit, custom tuned by Bama Performace Tuning on 91.

A 1986 Honda Accord. It was about the same age as me.

But boy howdy did that matching Maroon interior charm the ladies. Not to mention the flip up headlamps.

At 16 bought a 1998 Toyota 4runner sr5 152,000 miles for 5,000 off of mowing grass since I was 13. With no realization of the huge community and huge capabilities behind it. I think everyday how lucky I am to not have gotten a pathfinder or a rodeo/passport. Now at 18 the 4runner has furthered my already existing passion for anything with wheels and landed me a job at Infiniti as a lube tech while still in highschool. Right when I brought it home, and then just recently with the 3 inch lift and 285's after putting it all on

Nice 4Runner! I've had 4th and 5th gens, but have always thought the 3rd gens were some of the best looking. Certainly looks better than the Rodeos and Passport.

My first car was a 1991 Ford F250 single cab 4x4. Still at my parents house, I had a blast in it.

Thank you!!! I appreshiate that.I never even noticed the beauty in it until later, now I prefer it over all of them exept the 1st gen. A clean 1st gen is the best looking in my opinion. Something about them is just classy.

Lovin' da flip lights!! We had an '89, and it totally blew up! Quarter sized hole in the radiator!! Talk about Chocolate milkshake all over the engine... and broke down on the highway!!

Ahh shucks man!
Mine was killer! I couldn't afford a CD player so I had a junk boom box in the passenger seat and some extra D cells in the glove box.
I also eventually had to wire the headlights in the up position because they would get stuck.

It was a real character builder and kick started my interest in car repair. At the time it was kind of a requirement so I could keep getting to work but looking back I think I owe a lot to that old beauty. I donated it to some charity thing and it was still going strong at a bit over 300k even though the speedometer and odometer had quit working at 250ish.
