Door armor

[3rd gen king]

I'm unsure what year but new 3rd gens have like a plastic door stop on the entire lower part of the door. I think it looks like armor! Anyone know what years had this? Or a model?

Has anyone added this to there runner?

if i'm not mistaken, i do believe the limited trim requires holes all along the side of the runner. it could be done (i think)... but you can't go back.

Yes, there are square holes where the panel snaps into the door.
IMO, theres too much work involved to get the trim on your vehicle. You'd either have to glue it (bad idea), or screw it in (another bad idea), as if you tried to make the holes were it needs to clip in yourself, it'd most likely end up crooked/not fit.

If you aren't in love with your particular 4Runner (which is highly unlikely), you could always sell it and upgrade to the one you want?

Yeah from a moving car but it sure would have stopped some ***** from flinging her door open into my truck while I was in it.
