doorman valve cover on 3.4?

last night I was puting new valve cover gaskets on my 96 3.4l 4runner and when I went to tighten down the front of the drivers side valve cover the ear of it cracked and is no good anymore. My question is...... has anyone tried the doorman valve cover? I am going to look locally for one from a junk yard but if i cant find one I wanted to know about the doorman option..... not a fan of doorman products but some are ok. Thanks in advance, Ben

We use them all the time at my shop. Doorman electronics are not too great but i have had no issues with things like oil pans, intake and exhaust manifolds. But you are best off with an oe part.
