Doors will unlock, but won't lock.

2000 4runner Doors will unlock but not lock
Doesn't matter if it the key or fob the doors will unlock but not lock, Took it to Toyota here in Salmon Arm and the problem was diagnosed as:JUNCTION BLOCK - 2000 TOYOTA 4RUNNER (8273035260) Drivers side down low. The cheapest place I could find was ToyotaofDallas. Even with the exchange rate of 30% I will pay only $300 instead of $600 CA. I have no idea of why parts are so expensive here in Canada. I hope this helps anyone out there. Timski

Thank you for the reply. I actually ended up purchasing the driver side control panel to see if maybe it was just the switches, turns out it was. The driver side power locks work as well as the driver side window which would only operate intermittently. My only other problem now is my key wont lock my driver side door as it will not even turn left.

I have been looking into this issue and I can't understand how a simple power distribution bar can cause this issue. Moreover in my vehicle everything works fine with the key in ignition on. The windows and door lock get weird when I remove the key. Does anyone have experience with the body control module?

Damn beeping and honking!
I don't know if this is the right thread to be asking (i literally joined five minutes ago) but what the hell why not. i just bought a 2008 sr5 about 6 months ago and i love that car! When i got it, it was an "as is" from the dealer, in damn good shape. but they only had one fob and one key and when i hit the unlock button the back passenger door doesnt lock while all the rest do, and the car beeps and honks, im assuming to let me know theres a door unlocked. then randomly a couple months ago it started working on its own! all the doors locked when i hit the button, and car only beeped once to let me know it was locked. but as of a couple days ago i hit the lock button and it beeps and honks twice. i checked all doors manually and everything is locked?! and lights were off! then minutes later the alarm starts going off on its own???
anybody got any ideas. idk if temperature has anything to do with it but it has been 20 degrees here in dallas the last couple of days.

Hey everybody, I just joined this forum. I just purchased a 2000 Four runner that I think is having this same problem or one close to it.. My doors will UNLOCK with either of the front door switches, but won't lock by either switch. I hear a " click " when I press the lock buttons but it doesn't lock. Where should I start ? Relay, Fuse, Actuator ?
