I ran Bora on my 4R and spidertrax on my Tacoma. No issues with either. Make sure to use the red lock tite on the nuts that attach to the factory studs and properly torque them.

I have run cheaper setups years ago and had issues like you are describing.

hmmm these are same quality as bora/spidertrax/G2. they must be thicker where the lug nut goes. gonna return them for sure though. and yea i always run loctite and torque them correctly lol. ran Bora on my titan and have a set on my trailer lol
 
the problem is that on the 4runner, the front studs are shorter than the rear, so some spacer manufactures don't take that into account. You can fix it two ways,

either get extended lug nuts (which I did), and this is also safer than the regular lug nuts, and it sits deeper in the lug nut hole.

or..

extend your studs, but this option can get really expensive fast.

or

return it and get another brand.

yea seems to be what my research dug up. also found ALOT of guys saying they snapped their studs just at 90lbs lmao. GREAT. But DAMN the 1.5 spacers with the trail wheels and 285's looks absolutely killer... it'll just be .25" different when i go with spidertrax...i'll never notice, right?:jk:

only people snapping studs is when they over torque them or ran air tools on them (impact wrencth) I torqued mine to about 85-90, used red locktite, and hand torqued my spacers down, and never had a problem.

do you want the link I bought the extended lug nuts from? it will fix your problem.

Arc Light LED upgrade

After browsing Instagram one night I came across Arc Light LEDS and their new 5th gen 4Runner LED light kits. They made 40 of them and I was quick to pull the trigger.

The front lights have dimmer switches and buttons to flip from white to red. Really slick setup.

I also picked up a battery voltage booster. Figured why not. Not sure if I'll use it. Still planning out my electrical upgrade route.

Measured twice and drilled a couple of times. Started out with a small drill bit and worked my way up test fitting the part and making sure I was keeping the holes lined up where needed and not bigger than needed.

I was impressed how well this came together. I was a bit worried about the buttons lining up but it was easy.

I picked up their rear hatch lights as well. These are super bright LEDs that have a dimmer switch.

First impressions, great product! These are a bit pricey but great quality and a cool upgrade.

I would like to post about my RSG experience and their new sliders I recieved this week.

Called up and ordered a set in bare steel. The guys were very helpful and they just happened to be in production as I called. I placed my order and the next day they shipped out, since there was no powder coat lead time.

Sliders showed up this week. I was joking about how the welds were still hot. I comend any company that can produce a product and ship within the same month. After waiting over 20 weeks for my Gobi, which is a long standing succesful company, it was refreshing not to wait 6-10 weeks for these like my RCI sliders were. So thank you for trying to keep inventory and short lead times!

My pictures aren't great but I hope these will help give you guys an idea.

I chose to spray paint them like my old sliders. This allows me to easily touch them up after a nice wash.

Switched out my 5100’s for Dobinsons Long Travel front and rear. Dobinsons extended rear sway bar links. Metal tech 3” bump stop extender.

Front now measures 23” from center of hub to fender.

Rear is at 24” from center of hub to fender.

Still need to decide on what rear coil to run, extended brake lines, and adjustable rear arms.

Right now the rear sway bar links are adjusted to limit flex in order to keep the rear coil seated.

Had the alignment done. I was able to get 4.5 deg of caster at 23” ride height.

Ha! There are 5-6 rigs there almost every weekend. It's probably normal by now.

Thanks! It's not terrible. I've driven slower vehicles but I agree you need gears if going over 285s. I can tell the 4Runner doesn't enjoy trying to power the extra weight and I do a lot of highway driving.

My 3rd's have been on order for 2 months at ECGS. They keep telling me "oh we are waiting on cores. we promise yours is next" when the reality is, I think I'm getting skipped over but hopefully I'll get my 4.56's soon.
