Hey Tom just went through your entire build and it sure is awesome! Great looking truck. I’m glad you were insistent on the F5’s. I just got my bronze ones in and am waiting on the 285 KO2’s to arrive.

My question to you is what UCA are you running. Depending how the new setup goes I’ve been thinking about ditching the garbage preloaded front spring and rear spacer for some OME or Dobinsons coils to get a 3/2” lift. I saw you were able to achieve 4.5° of caster but how?!

Hey, sorry for the delay. Hopefully I am still able to help. Grab some Total Chaos UCA's and some Dobinson's springs. Mike should be able to help you @ Dobinsons. Great guy. After reviewing my lift specs, I actually only ended up with a little under 2.5" of lift. This is why I was able to obtain the 4.5* caster. Plus I'm running about -.5* camber, which is no big deal since my toe is pretty close to zero.

That being said, I am even more impressed with my setup. 17x9 -38 F5's, 295/70r17 Nitto RG's, and not even 2.5" lift and no rubbing :dancin:

Ordered some 35x12.5’s and some items to help make them fit. Stay tuned.

I’ll be at Windrock for the ATR event Labor Day weekend. Looking forward to meeting some more people and getting out and camping! Things have been slow this year trip wise. With the cooler weather coming I’ll be trying to make a few more trips before the end of the year to dial in the new 35s.

Been spending a lot of time mountain biking. Picked up a new Santa Cruz Hightower and love it! Loaded up a few weeks ago and hit some trails in Chattanooga.

Hey bro do you have any photos looking down your fender line showing how wide that F5 offset is? My 295 MTZP3s are starting to get a bit too loud but I love the size and the Ridge Grapplers in that size look perfect. Our state inspection laws are a bit stringent so just want to make sure they don't stick too far out. Thanks!

Hey everybody! Been a while since I've posted up. I wanted to drop a few photos from recent stuff. Also, I get my 35" KM3s mounted up tomorrow. I am going to install them on my current setup and slowly trim stuff as needed. Plan is to keep the 4Runner as low as possible while keeping the rub to a minimum.

Hanging out at a local Tents and Tires meet put on by Expedition Georgia. David is a great guy and we always try to support his events.

Wife and I have been on the kayaks a good bit this year. Our small dog has enjoyed coming along. He learned to swim this summer.

This is probably a repost but I wanted to post it again. I recently attended the ATR event at Windrock. Met some great people this year and hit this trail again. A lot of fun. Next Windrock trip is planned for Oct. 5th weekend with the Georgia 4Runner group.

Most recent excitement. I bought my first house earlier this month! I've done some many house projects already. House mods are no joke. It's taken over my 4runner mod time/budget.

Installed the dirty fives today. I have some work ahead of me. I was able to drive it home and parked it into the garage. Windrock trip is in 3 weeks. Time to get to work to make these fit!

295 Nitto vs 35x12.50 KM3 (yes I know all BFG tires are small. it's still a 35)

It fits! for now.

Keep us posted what what you have to do to keep from rubbing, in town is one thing but once that starts to flex off road.....I assume you expect to have to limit up travel?

I've been running the 17x9 F5's with 295/70 off road without a single issue for a while. These will take more work just like every tire I've ran on these wheels. I have a plan for these to fit and keep it clean looking. Not chopped up. Windrock trip in 3 weeks to see how my plan works out. There will be another 5th gen guy already on 35's that will be joining me.

I'll share any info I can and hope the recent influx of larger tire builds will help progress the 5th gen platform.

I did post it for sale to see if someone would buy it but the reality is I would need to part it out and put it back to stock. So for now I am going to continue to buy stuff and make this thing more fun.

Installed the Toytec 1" body lift. This was an easy job and quality kit with great instrucitons. Now to adjust the bumper up a bit. I have about .5" of adjustment which should leave about .5" gap. should be perfect.

Were there any specific things that had to be modified with the body lift? In the old days, shifter levels, cables, and all sorts of things had to be extended or moved.

Hey Mike, nope. This was the easiest mod I have done. I loosened the shift rod with a 12mm socket. Performed body lift. Tightened shift rod with 12mm socket. The only two important details are this: 2 SHORTER BOLTS GO UP FRONT ALONG WITH THE 2 SMALLER PUCKS. Instructions noted the puck size but not the bolt size. Ask me how I know, lol. I did this in my garage with a floor jack and a 4x4 piece of wood cut to 15".

Having an aftermarket front bumper helped. Using OEM you need to raise the front support bar one hole to make the OEM bumper fit perfect.

Rear panel removal was a pain. You can peel it back just far enough to get to the rear bolts. DON'T install the short bolt back here. It WILL make things worse.

No need for the radiator drop bracket either.

I still want new front and rear coils :becky:
