Doug Thorley header install Qs

Wondering what people have experienced from a time/cost perspective for installs of Doug Thorley headers on a v8 (I've got a 2007).

I've gotten a rough quote (via email so not a solid, but a ballpark) of roughly 25 hours of time. Shop time around $100 and welding time closer to $125.

Can anyone else provide their experience? I would expect them to do the full install (Headers, cats, and Gibson all stainless).

I got my headers for $645 and Install was $780. That is out here in SoCal. Not bad if you ask me, I'm happy with them.

Find a different shop or have them look at it in person and give a serious quote. As a backyard mechanic I struggled my way through it in well under 25hrs, I did have the headers/flanged jigged and welded off the truck by a friend so even including time to build jigs, welding 1 hr, it was less than 20 hrs. I think I started on a friday night and had it running by saturday night including plenty of sleep in the middle.

Headers were $700
Burtman Industries
Magnaflow cats (x2) and 'y-pipe' ~$200
Burtman Industries
3 Summit racing v-band flanges ~$100
Vibrand 12" resonator ~$50

Labor for me was right at $1500. However, last year i put on a set of Pace Setter (biggest waste of money possible) manifolds which cracked in like 6 different places. At that time I replaced all the manifold studs and nuts so I didnt have to buy them again and everything came off like butter. Had the exhaust system not been touched in 13 years it would have been a little bit more, plus some hardware.
