Thanks guys

-The Guard Dogs seem to be pretty good tires, they bite down very well when aired down. They balanced pretty well too. If you don't want any road noise though, then this isn't the tire for you; they are pretty loud!

-The cutting brakes helped me out a lot, this was my first real test with them, it was amazing how much more I could get over withe ease

I absolutely did not, I had a friend with me in a Cherokee and started to go through and stopped when water went above the tire, after testing with a stick it got 3 feet deeper! I hate mud! Although the stuff at Uwharrie is all VERY hard bottomed, I mean like concrete.

Yes, the bumper and sliders! I am planning to go to Dillon Supply tomorrow, I will give you a call to finalize what I will be getting

Very nice build you have. How is Daniel, specifically the ledge and Kodak rock lately? I've heard they stopped maintaining those two obstacles as much to make them hard(er). True?

-Yea I love URE just wish it was bigger, Daniels is the only trail out there I can't go on. In terms of maintainince I have actually heard they are moving a little dirt to those ledges but by the end of the season it all washes away. Over the winter they built a bunch of bridges where creek crossings were on the trails, and also removed any mud holes on the trails. Kodak rock was definitely not touched, because there is a bypass I presume.

There Are two big mud holes out there, that one is the smaller of the two. Most people who are familiar with URE avoid them because they know how deep they are. But some people still get ballsy

Here is a picture of someone going through the deeper one in the middle of the dry period in '09. Water is normally 2 feet higher

Not much going on today, but I did clean out the PCV valve, it appeared to be stuck closed, I couldn't blow through it. Hopefully it will help with gas mileage :driving:

I was also hoping it might help with the excessive blow by I was getting, but I don't think it did.

Figured I would update the old build thread.

- I ordered my Aussie Locker today, hopefully the install will happen sometime within the next couple of weeks.

-I went over to Singtoe's place the other day and he started the rear bumper build

- As a result of him showing me a little bit about welding, I went ahead and bought me one!

-Today, with the new welder, I decided I wanted the bumper to extend out a little farther, so I made some extensions to push it out another 2.5 inches, we still need to make the sides.

Haha I wasn't too worried about it, I have a bunch of scrap steel I was messing around with before. I got me one of those fancy auto darkening masks too, I found that it made welding a bit easier for me.

hey good looking 4runner I see that your a local as well and I saw your diving sticker on your truck you dive? if so where you go and maybe we can get together sometime and ride some trails at URE, I know me and a few other guys from NC were talking about doing a camping trip out at holden beach or something like that. you should hit up the thread who here is from North Carolina if you cant find it on the search bar you can go through my page under my threads and see it.

I started a little side project, went and picked up some metal and started to build a roof rack. Unfortunately the 40ft I bought wasn't enough, so I can't finish the build until sometime next week!

Measures about 5'x3'.

Other good news, heading over to Singtoe's tomorrow, where if all goes well the Aussie Locker will be installed

Nice roof rack. plan on carrying baby cows up there? JK, can't wait to see what it looks like on your top.

Did the Aussie locker install and it went quite well. It is very quiet. I would have figured to by very ratchetly like but it is not. It is smooth and very transparent.

It works great too. We tested it in the ditch and it transversed with zero issues. I am a believer in the aussie locker.

Heck yea, drive it everyday. Got up to 80 on the way home, and didn't even notice it going from a coast to WOT. It works great!

It only ratchets in corners with no throttle. Click it into neutral around a corner and then you should hear it
