Dous's Build Thread

Updating.

-Pick up a set of 285's! Mickey Thompson MTZ's, little bit wider than I would have thought, but I am impressed with them.

-Also picked up a Sport Hood the other day, so I figure I added a good 50 RWHP

-Later this week I will be ordering the AOR front bumper

Here are a bunch of pictures from this weekend Rockvember Uwharrie trip..enjoy

Ridin' out

Set up camp at dusk, temp fell to a cold 27 degrees, a layer of ice accumulate on the INSIDE of my windows. I was cold to say the least.

These next two pictures give you an idea of how steep this hill is, it is nearly impossible to walk up! Problem is we are traversing it, not something you generally want to do, but we did it with no problem! Just really stressful

Traversing this hill was really stressful, suspension was flexed out getting a teeter totter effect

Finished traversing now coming straight down

I think this shows the difference between the capability of a 2wd VS. 4wd on 35's

Good to see pictures of good ole NC. Daniel Trail at URE is fun going up! It really is steep, but still very manageable in an open, open, 3" lift 3.73 geared Tacoma on 33's. I never made the ledge, and actually never went back to Uwharrie once the Taco was a heck of a lot more built. Great place to ride and great pics.

Thanks! Yea I've riden Daniel, and it's just too much for my piece of crap!

I watched a 3" Lifted FJC do it, with the E-Locker, and he crawled right up the ledge

Well I couldn't resist. Video quality is crappy, I dunno why, it was shot in 1080p

I never actually had the chance to take them to Uwharrie this year, I was too busy when the weather was nice! I did do a little local stuff and they were a big help, just seeing obstacles on the drivers side is really nice. In terms of dust, yea it's a nightmare.

so if u dont like the 33's u can swap with me! and what kind of bumper did u say u were ordering? ?? couldn't decypher the 3 letter code

The Addicted Off Road tube bumper, it's affordable and looks great. Plus it's pretty lightweight. Haha the 33's are good, I am getting really bad Tramlining, partially cause the alignment is whack

Nice Pics! Your truck is looking great and I'm really digging that SA 4Runer!

Thanks man! Yea the 85 is sweet, last month is was a little piece of crap on 28" tires

Awesome pics Dous, how is the Aussie locker working out on the trails and as a DD?

Thanks! On the trail the Aussie Locker is nothing short of a miracle, sending me way farther than I could have gone before, I couldn't have been happier. On the road, sometimes going around low speed corners it dosen't unlock when it should, resulting in some loud clicking, other than that it is not really an issue. I could see if you lived in a snowy climate the Aussie being a problem, it would send yous sideways pretty quick
