driffter33's Build Thread

I don't know how it's possible that I haven't commented on this build thread considering how much I dig your runner.

There are a lot of sweet runners on this site that I have never comented on! cheers to all the BAD A$$ 4RUNNERS on T4R.org!

x2 that. Your 4runner is like the unsung hero, rarely seen and commented on...definitely deserves more. Nice snow shots man!

Thanks for the kind words guy's.

For the past year I've been neglecting my runner and T4R. My mountian bike riding/racing has been consuming my free time! I'm hoping to better ballance my 2 hobbies this year!

Another big thanks to COB for moving this thread from the Gallery over here to the 3rd Gen section, for more love from fellow 3rd Gen owners!

Its amazing at the amount of 3rd gens that have grown up and slipped on 35" meats in the past year. I remember when Jmoney, Brian2sun, and myself were moving up to 35's there was a small handfull of guys to go to for info and what works. Seems now 35's are pretty comon place on here. I can't help but feel like we might have helped get the 35" trend started.

I know I'm not the best at keeping things in order and documenting my build and keeping a clean build thread. When I look at some of your build threads I can't help but wonder how many hours you guys put into your threads aswell as you runners. Anyway keepup the good work everyone! Keep building these great runners.

Thanks for checking out my thread!

Right?! Everyone said "you can't do that because of this and this and this!" LOL
Pretty hard to find info on it since there were only a couple guys on 35's on the forums 2 years ago. I used to follow MillerPKA, haddix and Liny's builds, along with the others you've listed.

Glad your back on the forums Jay! I slipped away for a while too. Truck looks awesome man! I really like those skids you made.

Nice snow pics Jay! Sorry i couldn't join you on new years this year, but we do need to go hit the trails soon!

Look at what found me today! ;-)

Ya I remeber how everyone saide you can't run 882's with top plate, but there was one guy willing to try! ;-) thanks for that. I now love my 882's with top plate, with all the weigh I have added they work great! Makes for a pretty affordable way to fit 35's too!

There has been a lot of sweet builds while I was away!

So late yesterday I got an invite to hit the hills.... Thanks for the invite Lee "F150"Larry with the wagoneer and Brian!

So I think I might have missed posting a few things so her is an attemp to catchup on a few things! Some da maybe ill get some time on a real computer insted of this phone and I can put things in better order.

Here is a bit on how I've run power for my lighting and winch controles.

So I ran a larger power wire from the battery to this termanal block then jumped power to all termanals. I then ran each switch to the term block and a relay. I only install lights with relays and fuses.

Here are my switches. The top 2 are the winch, 1 is an arming switch the other is a fwd*rev switch. Bottom 3 lighting.

Adding some air to the engine compartment!

I also decided to try some header wrap on cats and pipe that is next to the tranny under the skids hopefully this helps tranny temps without melting down the rear cat! ;-)
