Ya the second one came out much better than the first.
as for the wobbly axle I noticed the noise a few days ago but figured it was my pan-hard bar again so I didnt bother with it figured I would tighten it up when I did my skids.
Damn what do you think the results would have been if they would have both broken while driving down the freeway?:lookout::toilet3:

My custom cut front bumper mod 20min 4" angle grinder, masking tape, and a tape measure. Gives more clearance for bigger tires looks good and no more hitting the bottom corners on big rocks:banana:

Lookin good man! That color is sweet too, it just looks better on those sliders! I'll still help you if you want tomorrow, but it looks like you got it pretty handled. Don't hesitate to call me if you need a hand, it would be the least I could do after you offered your driveway, tools and yourself to do mine!

Thanks for the offer Brian but I think ill save it till I do ball joints if you don't mind. Uppers and lowers I think would be easier with some moral support. I'll make sure there is no glass laying around.

The paint came out much better with no wind and not 95 deg. out.

Well I decided today after work to take the welding into my own hands so I got back on the rear bumper here it is so far.
not the best welds in the world but they will do.

Thanks I still have to do the other side and some reinforcing to the mounts and sides, then will have to do a little clearance grinding prep and paint, hopefully I will be finished buy next year.
When are you going to get you some sliders Pure. I just happen to know someone that has had a bit of practice putting them on lately:guitar2:

I figure it should be close to $400 when painted but some of the materials I have salvaged and that includes $150 for my gas set up on the welder, and some cash to my friend that is helping me but so far in steal I have $175. I found a steal supplier close to my house and when I get it finished I am going to figure out just what it would cost to walk in and by everything I would need to do another one.
