Sorry, that was funny! And to be clear about it sticking, yeah, been there, done that. Broke a friggin' leaf because of it not being greased properly.

Hello all, I am new to the forum. I hate to bring up such an old topic, but I have been unable to find the answer elsewhere. It looks like the OP for this thread was wondering if his 2WD model only had two zerk fittings. I never really saw a definite answer and after searching around online I am unable to find anything.

I have a 2011 SR5 2WD and I am going to lube my prop shaft. I have located the two zerk fittings for the spider gears, but I can't seem to see a zerk for a slider yoke. Am I seeing correct or am I missing a slider yoke zerk somewhere?

I "borrowed" this picture and made a few notes. Hope this helps! There are a total of 4 seals - each U-Joint Zerk services two seals. The photo only show 2 seals and 1 zerk but there is another zerk on the opposite side.. somewhere...

Hmm I can't seem to see anything on my 4runner as far as the slide yoke goes. I'm about to crawl under there to lube up the spiders. I'll take pictures of both the front and back of the driveshaft. I really am not seeing a third zerk for the slide yoke, but maybe that's because I'm 2WD

Here are the pictures I just took under the car. Starting with the differential side of the driveshaft:









Now the transmission side of the driveshaft:









The zerk fittings for the spiders can be seen clearly on the one side of the driveshaft. However I see nothing that looks remotely like the zerk for the slide yoke that I've seen in other T4R pictures on here.

In consulting the repair manual, there does appear to be a difference between the 2WD and 4WD prop shafts. Looks like the 2WD does not have a slide yoke zerk..

Thanks for the clarification between the 2WD and 4WD models. Also, apparently photobucket sucks now so I need to find another way to share photos. Looks like the 2WD model certainly does not have a slide yoke to lube. The other two spider zerks were easy to find and grease.
