Drive shaft replacement

Hey Guys! New to the forum.
My sister just informed me that the drive shaft fell out of her 99 4Runner, 2wd, 4cyl.
I work in a junk yard and wondering if the shaft from a 96 4Runner, 2wd, 6cyl will bolt directly in?
She said her shafts yoke is messed up at the joint.

I do not believe so.

Are they both autos? Manuals?

The yoke might be the same, but the overall driveshaft is coming up with a different part number for 4 cylinder and 6 cylinder.

If they're both autos, the difference in length is ~2" from what I have read.
