Driveline clunk - 2WD

I'm getting the infamous 'clunk' after releasing the brake following a relatively hard stop. The typical solution, for those that have zerk fittings (the 2WD's do not), is to lube the drive shaft assembly.

I've done some searching, but haven't found mention of this problem on the 2WD trucks. My assumption is that it's the same problem, but the drive shafts are not serviceable. Maybe the u-joints are starting to fail.

Anything else this could be? Did I miss discussion about this when I searched?

i have heard other members were buy the new drive shafts for the 4runner/gx470/460 that have the zerk fittings and lubing them up that way

i did not have a serviceable drive shaft on my 2wd tundra but the service guys rotated it and packed grease inside the slip yoke by had and it helped a little
