driver door window

I noticed my driver door window was not going down much more than 2-3 inches this morning. I drove around yesterday off road and I think I recall hearing a pop or noise but didn't pay much attention to it.

Are the window regulators in these trucks easy to replace? could the window just have popped out of the track?

I need to take my door panel off eventually to fix the rear view mirror wiring so just debating to see if I want to do it before the weekend of if it can wait.

Pretty easy to fix, I don't think the mechanism is damaged. It has a simple mechanical unit (no cables). Make sure the window channels are tight. Check the window slide channel near the door latch mechanism. There is a 10 mm bolt holding it at the bottom and the top is sliding into the door frame. Just lube the mechanism (motor, wheels, sprockets etc) and you are good. My 25 year old toyota car got power windows and works like new! Just make sure to lube the mechanisms every time, you open the door panels.

I have a rear door panel off now to replace speakers. I'd also check the track in which a roller needs to traverse. If gunked-up or blocked, that would prevent the full range of movement...

Thanks, I’ll probably play with it out camping this weekend vs trying to fix it before. Sounds simple

Popped the door panel off last night when I got home and the window track spot welds broke. I put a tech screw in it and the window works. Guess I’ll replace that eventually and noticed the electric side view mirror has a plug and is cut so maybe I’ll replace the mirror at the same time. I need to make a junk yard run soon
