driver power window problem!

Hey,

I have a 2003 4runner SE.

I just put in a new headunit and after pluggin everything back in, my front driver side power window doesnt work perfectly. The auto roll up and down does not work and if i push the button all the way down, it has some delay to it before it rolls up. I also noticed the light is flashing but im not sure how i messed it up.

While installing my headunit, i detached the negative connection to the car battery and had a detailed installation packet. Did i miss a connection while putting it all back together or did i touch something i wasnt supposed to. Any help would be great.

Also if this helps, my 3 other power windows work, just my front driver side doesnt work well.

You need to re-initialize the driver side window, rear window and the moonroof if you have. You can do a search for initializing the windows.

Here's how I did mine and I don't think it's the exact procedures, but it worked for me after disconnecting the negative cables.

1. Roll down the driver's window and hold the switch down for a couple seconds.
2. Roll up the driver's window and hold the switch up for a couple seconds.
3. Test the auto up/down feature.

Repeat the above for the rear window.

Same for the moonroof except, I did the slide first, then tilt. Just holding the switch for a couple seconds after the window or moonroof is fully open and closed.

I know this is an old thread, but thank you! Panicked when it was flashing at me all of a sudden!
