Driver Seat Knob

How do I remove the large adjustment knob on the driver seat? Want to make sure I don't break it before I start yanking on it

theres a c clip that goes thru a notch. It can be removed with a flat head screw driver popping the clip out. .. However, putting it back on is a whole nother challenge.
