2005 se..is there a fix for this problem yet. There's a long thread on this problem but its about 03-04 years..thought it would have been fixed on 05 by now. But here it is..seems if you attempt to move seat cushion up and down it moves. but only driver seat. Have 5K on this rig and it just started. Can live with it,and can't wait to hear the BS from the Stealer about it.

I thought I was one of the only few that had this problem. Mine only have 2K on it and it moves every time I turn or brake. I do find it quite annoying. I will have to ask the dealer about it when I take it in next.

i also have the same problem with my 05 se as well... when i brake it would try to slide fwd lil bit and you would hear this click or locking sound...

I have a 2005 SR5 with the manual seats. Make sure your seat is locked in. In other words, if you feel movement in your seat, try pushing it foreward or backward until it locks in. Sometimes you really have to use your whole body to lock it in place. I believe this should eliminate the movement you're feeling.

Since Toyota has said that they don't consider this to be a problem, I doubt they fixed it on the 2005...

The good news is that you'll probably get used to it; I did, and don't even think about it anymore...

I personally think this is the kind of issue the dealer won't take seriously...so many more important issues, they will blow this off with some BS. I think you will have to make a pest of yourself to get any attention. How has the time to want to deal with it.

Right now its important to me ...don't know if I can live with it but not looking forward to going to dealer. To top it off the dealer I want to go to is not where I bought the truck. the original dealer is so bad. Thanks all for your feedback.

My 04 is just over a year old with about 19k miles on it. I get the seat movement in extreme situation, but it very seldom occurs. Maybe once a month. I wonder if the seat position can increase or decrease the occurance.

I have an 05SE and have not noticed any movement from the driver's seat at any time. I assume this does not affect all 4Runners ?

i have an 04 sr5 and i had the same problem when i made turns and used my brakes. first time the dealer said they would lube the seat tracks. this only made the problem worse. the next time i took it in they replaced both tracks and this worked for about a month tops, now i have slight movement in the back part of the seat, but it isn't all the time like before. i wish there was a TRUE fix for this as well.
