Ive been doing construction on my house lately so I can not garage the T4R right now. Just noticed the driver side is taking on water and soaking the floor. I took off the windshield wiper cowl thinking it may be clogged, but to my surprise they aren't built like others. I put a hose in the cowl to see where the water was coming from. I could see the water draining very well from the fender looking in through the door opening. The water only drips down from in the upper section and cant figure out where its coming from...Do I have to remove the dash? Or possibly the fender? I just want to get ideas before I start tearing everything apart.

Could it possibly be coming in from the grommet in the drivers side firewall where the wiring goes through from behind the dash? Had that problem with mine.

Also check the sunroof drains. Take a piece of weed eater string and run it down the front corner drain. That can sometimes clog and cause a leak.
I'm fairly certain this is my problem as I get moisture under the passenger side as well but only after a heavy rain.
My question for you is, what can you do if your sunroof doesn't work?

Just seal up the grommet where the cut is with RTV and it will fix it, if that's what's leaking (which is what it sounds like). Mine was soaked after every rain until I sealed it.

If the setup is the same as mine, you carefully pry off the plastic covers on either side of the sunroof itself, and you will find two nuts under each - remove 4 nuts, sunroof lifts out... Very easy to access so I'd say do it anyway, although the moisture from my one was up near the drain hole location, as the drain area fills and eventually overflows into the headlining.
Watch out, the plastic clips are easy to break!
