Driver window rattle

I've had my 2004 4runner limited since new.
I've had an annoying rattle in my drive side passenger door since new that only happens when my window is half down. Full up or down is fine.
I had my window tinted a few years ago and I now have a dozen plus little nicks in the film about 1/3 up the window. Like from hitting something in the door.

Back when the 4R was still under warranty I had the dealer look at it and they said it was all normal, just drive with the window open or closed. Typical dealer incompetence.

Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this and has found an easy fix?

Uhm, how bad is the rattle because quite a lot of cars have "loose" windows when not at full up or full down.

If it is more excessive than the other windows I would take the panel off and make sure the retaining bolts for the regulator to window glass are tight, I have seen them get loose before.

Mine has been doing the same lately. I hear the sound coming from the top of the glass when closed all the way. Will check and see if something might be stuck on there or have to remove the door panel.
