So this morning i took it out to flex the coils a little bit and as of today, 3 days after the install my measurements from ground to fender are as follows with 1/2 tank of gas:

Front 38.5" - was off earlier this morning but now even
Rear driver 38.75" and pass side rear 40.5" ??

They are both identical 8 wrap double purple LC coils. Maybe the driver side settled and the passenger will catch up soon? Thought about hooking up to my dads 5x8 trailer and loading up a golf cart or something to pull around for a couple of days:confused:

you know i was told by a reputable guy around here (seattle)that one lc coil is slightly longer/stiffer then the other on a set as when they are used in the stock config the engine is off center and to keep it level they had a taller/stiffer coil on the passenger side of the land cruiser.

i have never found any info confirming that one way or another, and it was a comment he made when he was giving me 2 free sets of the lc coils, i asked why one was taller then the other and that was the answer i got.

and to be honest it kind of makes sense, but really? you know i would like some confirmation on that

but again these are identical with the same color codes so it rules that one out:shrug:

When I bought a used set of 8 wraps, they each had diff'rent color codes, my assumption would be that the same color coded springs are not meant to be used at the same time, maybe one has to compensate for something..like gas tank etc..again just my assumption...

true, could definitely be true. worst case i could throw in a small spacer to compensate. only person thats ever going to know is me but something like that just bugs me until i fix it

I have the exact same coded coils as you. When I did the lift I lined them up and noticed one was just barely taller that the other. So the longer went on the driver side where the gas tank is. I sit completely level passenger/driver side.

what are your measurements at now if you dont mind checking?

Well I hope this isn't the case with all LC coils with the same color code. I have a pair that have the same color code and I hope one side doesn't sag when I eventually get them in.

** UPDATE**

Ok so after taking my son to school this morning i went to a fresh parking lot that i believe is as level as you can get. I dont have the exact measurements but what i did see was the rear driver was between 1/2-3/4" lower than the passenger side so not as dramatic as yesterday (2" apart) For one thing, these coils are so soft and flexy its hard to get an exact measurement unless its on very level ground. I really cant tell you what changed from yesterday except i measured on a different property. I still really wish i could crank the front enough to match the back but my angles are pretty steep as is. Might have to end up taking these out for OME 890's unless they settle a little more:( Still dont care for the dragster look and im already wanting it bigger.. it never ends!:dammit:

try switching your rear coils this weekend see if that makes any difference. meaning take out the right rear coil and put it on the left and vice versa. who knows? its worth a shot. it only takes maybe an hour.

i thought about that, might give it a try to see if it helps any. Most of the weight is on the drivers side- driver, gas tank and battery all adds up im sure
