Are you sure it's not your CV axles vibrating? 3.5"+ is a lot of lift.

So... Instead of undoing the zerks fitting on the rear slip yoke I figured I would give this a shot. Theoretically, if overgreased the slip yoke won’t compress. I figured realistically just how much can this impede drive shaft compression? And what if you were to gently force it to compress?
Found a 5 inch curb. Pulled the truck perpendicular to it. Put the truck into reverse, gave it a little throttle, (hit the curb at 2mph), and went up and down this curb five times.
Vibration at highway speed is now gone. Could it really be this simple? LMAO

Someone with this problem try this and confirm. It is a major issue for several on this forum with potentially an extremely easy fix.
I can’t reproduce the vibration at any speed. It’s completely gone.

Yeah it seems like there are a bunch of threads about over doing it with the slip joint.
I remember reading about one guy said he pulled the zerk out after greasing.
Also i think one guy either drilled the zerk or popped out the middle/guts of the zerk fitting.
I use a larger grease gun and one pump into the u-joints i have grease coming out. I wipe off the extra and do it again next oil change. One pump to the slips too...never have i seen any grease ouzing out of the slips.
I am just some internet parot though. Probably should not listen to anything i say. :blah:
I get that brake letoff 'clunk' if i dont grease the rear drive line slip joint.

Having this issue when accelerating after a 3" lift. Goes away when I let off the throttle. Definitely a heavy drive line vibration. Has anyone experienced this is reverse order of the OP?
