Driving down the freeway and....

So I was driving down the interstate when I hit an overpass pump and WHAM. Something flew up and hit the right side of my vehicle, almost as if it had been kicked up by the tire. Checked the rear view mirror and something silver was bouncing down the road. There was no way I was ever going to find it so I pulled over to check around. Looked at the top screws of my rear shocks I just replaced, still there. Check around the engine bay, couldn't see anything wrong. Drove a little further and everything was fine. Any suggestions on what I should check or could I just have kicked something up from the seam between the road and the bridge. THANKS.

Were you going around 88mph? Mighta blow the flux cap...

Really from the sounds of it it was prob on the road already. If something "fell off" you would have probably puttered to a stop, but its always good to take a peek under the hood and rig..

Fluid is the main sign of loosing something but you don't have that so I wouldn't worry.

I've done this once.. Was doing about 70 on the interstate at night and all of a sudden I hear a loud wham and thud on my driver front tire. I look in the rear view and see sparks flying off in the distance. I slowed down and truck was still driving fine. When I got where I was going I looked everything over and couldn't find anything out of order. Guess I had ran over something and kicked it up. So I thought... A week later I was working on my truck and noticed the skid plate that comes with the ARB bumper to cover the gap between the bumper and front skid had came un-bolted. I use grade 8 bolts now on everything.

Lug nuts: check
88MPH: This is 1980 right????
After mentioning pink milk shake, I'm gonna stop procrastinating the tranny cooler install!!!
Let's hope it was already on the road!
