DRL Flasher for sale

Hey;

I have a 4runner DRL flasher; the one that will keep your tunsignals on as DRL's.

To install it, remove the plastic cover under the steering column, loosen the fuse box; that is where you will find your non-drl flasher; then simply intall this one in its place.

I'm asking $30 shipped.

Ok I have to ask. What is a DRL Flasher. Is it similar to a regular flasher.

DRL = Daytime running lights

The "Flasher" or "Relay" or "Flasher Relay" are all one in the same.

I removed my daytime running lights because i didn't like them, but i know many of my brothers south of the border like to add daytime running lights to thier 2003 - 2006 'runners. (I believe 2007 'runner has factory DRL in the US)

The DRL's on the 4runner use the front turn signals as the DRL; so what Toyota has done is incorporate a different "flasher/relay" for DRL equipped vehicles.

The "TICK TICK TICK" niose you hear when you put your signal on comes from this flasher/relay. The relay can be found under the dash beneath the steering column attached to the back of the fuse box. Takes about 15mins to intall.

Bottom line...you want DRL, you need this part.

Your lower front turn signals will stay on constantly as DRL. They will only flash when the blinker is on; and will automatically turn off when the lowbeam is on.

I removed my daytime running lights because i didn't like them...

Not sure about B.C. but you run the risk of not passing a safety inspection (in Ont.) if you don't have DRL's as required. You may want to consider just keeping the relay and reinstalling it when you go to sell because it will be cheaper than having to rebuy it from a stealer.

A BC vehicle does not require a provincial safety inspection unless ordered by the police/rcmp or the BC transportation authority.

An example would be importing a US vehicle. The US vehicle requires a provincial safety inspection in order to be able to insure it.
