I had my original tires posted for sale on facebook marketplace. Started with a price of $400. Dropped the price down to $300 in December.
Had a guy ask me if I'd take a Winchester Ranger 30-30 in trade for the tires. I said hell yeah. Already have a Winchester 92 30-30 but a rifle takes up far less space than those tires did.
Made the trade in Lowe's parking lot in Branson. The guy mention he was going to put the tires on his daughter's 3rd or 4th gen 4Runner.

I still have the following, I need to list for sale:
Original black cross bars.
Original black non-TRD front skid plate.
Original suspension system (4 shocks 4 springs).

Couple updates.
Added black overlays to the badges. Bought these from Running 4 Taco's. Spendy but damn they look good. Plan to paint the rear, silver valance, black.

Installed a Smittybuilt model 2763 Storage Vault. 4Wheel Parts has them on sale for $242.85 shipped.

I mounted it so it's offset allowing me to put water and groceries next to it.
It came with 3 L brackets that I drilled holes for. These are attached to 3 of the 4 tie downs:
I can get all my recovery gear in there.
Note on the Smittybuilt box. I hear noises coming from it. Hitting the brakes while going down hill off road, it sounds like the drawer is moving.
My D-Rings I have stuffed into my Rhino Tow Strap bag are noisy - sound like bells ringing back there. Need to pad them better. Probably stuff them individually into some old pillow cases.
I did have an instance bashing though a mud hole where it sounded / felt like the whole box lifted off the cargo floor.
@ 2/10ths the price of a Frontrunner, Arb, or Dobinson's box - it's functional.
Speaking of the mud hole, I explored some more of an ATV trail that I believe connects to Glade Top Trail. Not 100% about the legality of on road vehicles on ATV trails but there are no signs on either end of the trail.
Went further this time. Did a creek crossing and then found Mud. Passed through 3 muddy field sections with ATrac & the rear locker engaged. The 4Runner plowed right through... sideways more or less.
Heard some kids up ahead gleefully screaming + the sounds of ATV's so I turned back.

Going back to the Smittybuilt box. Before installing it, I pulled up the rear carpet to see if it would be possible to bolt the box down to the rear cargo area.
I didn't want to drill holes into the floor so passed on that idea. Here's some pics of how to pull up the rear carpet. It's really easy.
Used a screw driver to pull up the front edge of the rear plastic trim piece. Enough so I could get a couple fingers under it and pull up.
The carpet attaches via some clips. Used the flat head screwdriver to pull those apart.
From there you can pull sides of the carpeting out and roll it up. Underneath is a 4Runner embossed piece of styrofoam that comes out real easy.
Underneath - not much available for mounting the Smittybuilt box without drilling holes.

Vacationing in Cape Coral Florida for 3.5 weeks.
Getting lots of compliments on the 4Runner. While there are a few lifted 4Runners around, I have yet to see anyone in this area with a winch. Took a slow day and went and and had the rear bumper valance wrapped. Looks factory.

I'd look into AdventureMotorsKC to do your BMC. They do lots of builds and sell a lot of Toyota platforms.
Not ruling them out but that's 3.5 hour drive each way for me.
Going to check with these guys in West Plains. I've seen them at some of the Overland Rallies in the area:

Ah ok. I heard great things about ozark too. Plus they have a nice little youtube channel so you can at least check out their work.
Going back the Body Mount Chop.
I was reading another article on it yesterday and noticed the words "body shop." It finally clicked that any body shop ought to be able to do a BMC and there is one 3 miles down the road from me.
Stopped in there yesterday and asked the owner about it and installing my UCAs. He looked at a youtube video on the BMC and said - no problem. He will use his plasma cutter, then weld on a piece of steel from his inventory, followed by covering it bedliner.
Dropped the 4Runner off this morning with my SPC UCA's to install. Also lined up 33 inch (LT285/70R17) Yokohama Geolander M/T tires - to be installed from the Tire Shop across the street.
Talked to the body shop owner just now. He said it's done just waiting on the tires to arrive.
Total for the BMC and installing the UCA's = $375!
$210 of that was the BMC.

This last Saturday I attended a Rigs & Coffee event at Artemis Overland Hardware in Springfield.

They do a get together once a month. Next one is April 3rd from 10am to 12pm.

At noon most everyone lines up and convoys over to Glade Top Trail:
I'd say 75% of that group of 50 vehicles dropped off and headed home from there. The rest found a hilltop to set up camp for the night:
A few of us (9 vehicles or so) hit one of the gnarly off road trails. I followed this Land Rover who led the trail ride.
I did 2 videos of the trail. Feel free to skip this 1st video (vertical oriented) and watch the 2nd one.

About 6mins into the 2nd video, I stopped and gave a Nissan Pathfinder behind me a tug up 2 rock ledges with my kinetic tow rope. He didn't have much in the way of articulation plus really needed a locker or Atrac on this trail.

I hung out for a little at the hill top campsite and then headed home. I wasn't prepared to overnight with food / camping gear.

What’s your center of hub to top of fender arch up front? Curious why you went or even needed a BMC with factory Pro wheels.BMC, SPC Upper Control Arms, 33 inch - LT285/70R17 Yokohama Geolander tires. Waiting for alignment and Port bumper cut.
Hoping to have it back home later today.
Reason for the BMC - I expect this wont be my last tire / wheel change.
Might as well get it all done in one shot.
I note the tire looks stuffed in the wheel well. I might move the shocks up one setting in the near future.
Led a trail ride on Glade Top Trail Saturday. Had 3 vehicles join me.
The GMC Yukon driver and Nissan Xterra driver both decided to ride with me. We consolidated down to 2 vehicles for the more difficult trail.

This was the 1st real trail for the Rubicon Owner. He told me... "if you can do it, so can I." He made it look easy with his 37inch tires.
The Nissan owner plugged his GoPro on my 4Runner and took this LONG 38min video of the trail.

That is low to clear 285’s. I thought mine was a little on the low side at 22.5” front, 23.25” rear.
No lean. Do you have KDSS?
