I originally wanted/got the 4R so I can head up to Tahoe for snowboarding, but I don't think I'll be able to fit that in this season.
I wouldn't mind putting the 4WD to good use like you did on light trails.

I bet it's tough not being able to get out there a put the 4R to good use. Man, time is definitely something I deal with, but whenever I get a chance I try and get out.
That really stinks about that paint though. I'd be ticked. But at least it's just the body paint and not any mechanical errors or somthing else.
Just make sure when you're ready to take the truck out, you really take it out and show everyone what a 4Runner is build for

Nice pics of your 4Runner in the CA mtn snow. My question would be: How well did the much aherald "Done"flop tires do in this snow. How was the traction in deep snow, mushy snow+ice, and/or perhaps the slicker hard packed snow ice stuff that you probably encountered on the way up and down the mtn.
