Dual battery controler

i saw we have a new sponsor on here and see they have a dual battery controller i was wondering if anyone is using this one or one like it and recommend it ?

To help a little bit (and of course advertise a little I guess), we don't just sell that system, myself and all of the guys who work for me use it as well. I've had mine on my JK for several years and I have absolutely nothing bad to say about it. The install is fairly straight forward, the system has some great features, and theres nothing complex about the controls of it. If your not trying to link batteries or something like that, you'll forget its even there.

If one of your batteries starts getting low, it will beep once every 3-4 seconds to let you know, etc. We've sold quite a few of those systems and I've had nothing but positive feedback from our customers either. Just wanted to throw that out there and maybe that will give you some user insight to the system.

How exactly do you want to control dual batteries, what are you looking to do?

I know I havent looked into others but it is a good chunk of money tawards my rig but I for sure will be running 2 batterys

You don't need all that to run dual batteries. You just need to isolate them from each other when the engine is off. You can do that with a standard dual diode isolator which is the most common way, or use a heavy duty solenoid.
I run dual batteries in my 83 and use a solenoid (aka relay) because I don't like the voltage drop thru the diodes.
Can't be just any high current relay, it must be rated for continuous duty.

Blue Sea ACR 7610. Combines after starting and the primary has the proper charge. Isolates after turning off the engine.

I've been using an IBS Dual Battery System with an Odyssey PC 1200 MJT-L secondary battery for about 3 years. Yeah, its a little pricey but it has worked flawlessly. It automatically links the two batteries if the engine is running or if the trickle charger is hooked up. When the engine is off it'll automatically isolate the batteries. You can manually link the two batteries if you need extra current. I highly recommend it.

The IBS controller/monitor mounted in the center console. I also installed an additional "constant power" 12 volt socket in the console.

blue sea 7622, a switch for manual override, and a ebay voltage monitor gets you the functionality cheaper.
