Dual battery setup / onboard air

Looking to add the dual battery set up with onboard are as well. How difficult is it to add the dual set up for someone with minimal electrical experience. Or is there a place in Utah that sells this set up? Thank you in advance.

There are several options out there, I'm on mobile so I can't link them easily but do a forum search. One company sells a complete kit which is pretty expensive but easy to set up, but if you wanted to learn the wiring there are some threads on here explaining the whole job. It's not that hard.

Regardless of who installs it you're going to want to learn about how the system works, for both safety and maintenance. More learning involved if you want to put it in yourself, not limited to hydraulic crimping, soldering, and basic circuit design. Relatively speaking it's not as scary as it may sound, in fact it's pretty straightforward, but there's legwork to do if you haven't already.

Being near Salt Lake my first thought would be to call Cruiser Outfitters or Equipt Expedition Outfitters, I've ordered and gotten good help from both and I'd imagine they could reference you to a reputable shop for work.

There are lots of options. You could go cheap DIY, universal kits or 4Runner specific kits. I just installed a dual battery system and it wasn't hard at all. Like you I had very little electrical experience so I went with a complete kit by Off-Grid Engineering. They make a 4Runner specific kit with all the wires crimped, sleeved, and of appropriate size. It was the most expensive option but it's professionally done and I didn't want to have to deal with buying wires, lugs, and the right tools to crimp. If I were to do it again I'd probably still buy the kit from OGE. It's a very well done kit.

There's also the National Luna kits which are popular. Equipt Expedition Outfitters in Salt Lake sells their stuff locally. I know Cruiser Outfitters in Sandy also sells them and does installs as well

When it comes to mounting the aux battery you can mount you can get one from OGE or Shrockworks (requires moving washer fluid bottle and pump).
