I will actually be hanging with the old crew at High Tech in Chantilly, VA on Monday. I've got to get some maintenance done on the truck and trailer before we head back out west. You're more than welcome to come out there or PM me if that's not a convenient time for you.

You "need" anything?..(electrical, plumbing,welding, aluminum, something cut out,etc.)

I'm staying over at school tonight and tomorrow night, have planning board on Tuesday, and have to pack up the ROAM on Wednesday night for a 5 am depart Thursday morning

And of course, we had to stop by Mt. Rushmore so the kids could learn a few things about some history... and stuff.

After getting our history fix in, it was time to check out Badlands NP. Our campsites there were fantastic as was the weather.

I'm a little late to this thread but Bobby I was going to recommend there's a solid KOA in Mitchell. We camped there on our way from East to West back in 2011. Hot showers too! Enjoy the trip, you're doing a lot of what we did, but in reverse. I-90 is a fun drive across the country. I'll check in more often to see the progress of the trip. Enjoy!

Sage Creek Campground on the north western side of Badlands is a wonderful free camp spot!

Caught up with a few fellow local SAR members in the park. There was an active search going on at our campsite for 2 lost subjects. Traded a few stories the next day with some members and the park ranger.

So after Badlands we headed out to explore some other "must see" staples of our country which included Wall Drug and Mitchell's Corn Palace.








The kiddos have been doing fantastic with the road trip and dealing with all the hikes and off road "boring" photo shoots. I figured I'd treat them to a shower and some kid play time at the Jellystone in Sioux Falls, SD.







And I had to get some laundry done anyway. My laundry room for the night:washing:

I hope you don't mind me asking a few questions.

What chairs those are? They look sweet. Do you like them? Are they heavy?

Do you put something down on your rack so the feet don't go through or bend the mesh?

They're from Alps Mountaineering. Really light and packable. Not backpacking packable though.
My Gobi has full mesh with no crossbars. Mesh bends a bit but I don't care about it.
