Update: I utilized your answer to take advantage of the coupon this weekend to get my girlfriend's Corolla new tires. She needed them soooooooo bad. At 6,000 miles the dealer was telling us that they needed to be replaced.........and she is at 18,000 now. I think we procrastinated on that one. The dealer finally offered the weekend before last to pay for two of them.........which ended up being only a couple bucks cheaper than costco.......and factoring in the free costco rotations and road hazard warranty we passed on the stealer. They are starting to bug me more and more!

Firestone dealer here in Athens, Ohio quoted me $800 for 4 tires mounted, balanced, etc... YIKES!

Man, am i getting my threads confused or what - posted this info on another thread when I thought it was here. (senior momment) Anyway, best place around I can find is Costco who will do them for $165 each including all fees & road hazzard!
Only other's that seem to be able to get them in Phoenix area is Firestone (much pricier) and some independent shop (better than Firestone prices!).

Revo Sidewalls & Rolling Resistance
So let me check my understanding - Revos are a great all purpose tire. However, they do not have extra sidewall for major offroading (i.e. rocks, etc). If I want the heavier sidewall I need to go LT (different size) or one of the specific offroad brands - correct?
With LT or offroad rated sidewall I will likely sacrifice some on-road comfort.
Or is the Revo really pretty strong for the few times I actually go offroad?
Also, does anybody know how the Revo is in rolling resistance? Supposedly the Michelin is real good here.

I finally got rid of the Dunflops that came with my truck. After getting stuck in my snowy driveway and spinning out at 10mph almost into a ditch, I knew it was time. I replaced them with the Bridgestone Revos because of all the greats reviews that the members on this board gave them. The tires were 160 each at my local tire shop.
When the guy saw the original tires on my truck, he wanted to know how much mileage I do. He said that the tires wore horribly worn on my truck. He thought I had at least 27,000-30,000 miles on them. I only got 17,800 miles on them and maybe had 3,000 more. After driving my truck with the Revos, it is like night and day. The steering feels stronger and it actually feels like I am glued to the road. The most important thing is they give a smooth ride and are near quiet. I don't feel like if I let go of my wheel, the truck is just going to lose control. Thanks to everybody who posted about these tires!

Spare Tire
But my question is this. And just to clarify.
There is no rubbing with the upsize to 265/70 17?
And did the upsize spare tire fit.
I have an 05 sport with the tow bar.
I have read so many tire threads.
and just when I had decided and told the tire shop to order the Revo's I am back to thinking the KO's.

i got a pretty severe flat the other day with a nail in my tire. instead of putting the spare on, i limped about a mile or two to the local tire shop. what i noticed was that the ATRAC never came on despite the flat tire being considerably smaller in diameter than the other tires. so this leads me to believe that having 265/70 tires and using the 265/65 spare will not cause the ATRAC to come on due to it falsely thinking that one smaller tire is slipping.
the tire shop guy also said that there's no need to buy a matching spare with the 265/70's since they're not cheap, and to just use the original spare to drive to the shop to have the flat repaired or tire replaced. long term use of the smaller spare should be avoided, but a couple of days will not matter.
just thought i'd pass this info along as i'm thinking of getting 265/70 nittos or revos soon..

Nitto's are a good price most places. Where are you thinking of getting your - off internet or your local rubber supplier?

Quiet is good for me, as this is my daily driver!
*btw - I noticed on Discount Tire's website that the Nitto Terra Grapplers in socal are about $20 more each tire than in the bay area?! In ventura county it's $50 more!!

I ended up getting the 265/70/17 Revos today before the rebate's over this saturday. Wheel Works wanted $810 for 4 tires installed out the door, but I got them to price match Costco for $665.
With the rebate, that's $590 total, or $147.50 per tire installed. I'm a happy camper!
If you're in the Bay Area, I'd recommend going to Wheel Works and have them price match Costco. (Come to think of it, they didn't even call Costco to verify the price!)
Don't have much impression of them yet since I drove straight home from the shop. But they do look very big and beefy!
