Looks like you guys had an awesome weekend!
How far did you guys make it up Wheeler? Was there the usual drift after the switchback on Bowling Ball Hill? That line coming down the first obstacle looks familiar, my father in law almost flopped there too!
We stopped at the V notch, we talked to some people that had made it up to the lake but we were just there to do the rock crawling and then leave.
I want to go up there and camp and fish... Keep an eye out for a planning thread at RM4x4... probably July Im thinking.
thats a wicked picture right there by the way! man! thats a fun trail, beautiful area too!

So, going back up to Wheeler with Foneman, SteezeMcqueen, Yoshida and some others...
wanted to show you some pics of the Runner in the middle of packing up for the trip
Ill have to take more of it completely loaded up tomorrow.
I cleaned up the interior, armoralled it, and put in a new deck (Kenwood, with a usb port) Love the new deck, can use my phone, an ipod or a flash drive!

I bought leather seats front and back and have the complete carpet from a well maintained Runner.

10 years ago today I bought my 4runner. I dont drive her everyday like I used too, in fact, I only drive her a few times a month now. But everytime I do, I relish and enjoy the ride.

That's awesome! I plan on keeping mine for many years as well. I can't believe its already been over 6 years. Maybe we should start a thread "Who has owned their 4Runner the longest?"

My 3rd Gen is pending sale to a longtime Ih8mud and Yotatech member who I think is also a recent member here also.
So this thread will be ended soon. But I will add a link to my 4th gen build as soon as the 3rd gen is officially sold.

Well, its been awhile. After I sold my 96 and my 07 4runners I have owned/driven several vehicles. I started with an 02 Pontiac Firebird WS6, which I used to race at Bandimere (in Colorado). Then I got a 2007 Highlander for long commutes downtown (which went over 300k and then my son totaled it). When we moved to Idaho I finally bought a 2008 Tundra, a truck I had wanted for 10 years. The Tundra was lifted and amazing but it only got like 10mpg avg. best I ever got was 14 mpg. When I didnt need the truck bed anymore I sold it and bought a 12 Honda Civic SI. The intention was to paint it, supercharge it and tune it. Decided to can that idea. Found a good deal on a 2010 Trail edition in immaculate condition. One owner.
Glad to be back.. Any of the old crew around still? Gosh, when was my last post? 2013? ten years or more I think.
