Dumb idea check: 99 Talls with 200k miles worth $20?

I have a line on a set of well-used OEM 99 tall rear coils for next to nothing. They came off a one-owner 1999 Limited, 4wd with 3.4. No off road use or towing, 200k miles mostly highway commuting across TN. A full suspension refresh/upgrade is in the plans in the next 12-18 months, but I'm curious if these would be worth swapping out my 177k mile 1997 original coils as a temporary rear-end sag fix. Someone tell me it's a stupid plan so I can move on from the "deal"!

Just put a new set of '99's in my '98 with 330K... When the old and new springs were side by side off the vehicle the '99's weren't even 1/2" taller but on the vehicle made for a much better ride.

Used coils with that much mileage are garbage. You'll be bouncing until you get motion sickness.

I swapped my factory '99 Tall rears with 160k. I did not bother trying to sell, straight to the metal recycling bin. Terrible ride, and sagged like a m..... if you put a six-pack in the back.

I go offroad maybe once or twice a year, and it is never driven hard.

If you can live with the sag then wait till you do a full refresh .or throw spacers into the back springs . I forget the brand name I used for a 6 month fix, they were a big puck shaped thing that went on top of the springs. Helped but not perfect

I threw some used '99 rears on my '96. I suspect the '99 had 150k and my '96 had 180k. I got about 3/4" of rake and have been satisfied. For 20 bucks I would go for it. If you had a '98 I would say, meh, pass.

With that many miles on them, they definitely don't have their original height or weight support when loaded. Not worth it in my opinion. Now, if you NEED to replace the rear springs and you are on a budget for now, it can't hurt. It only takes about 20 minutes or so to swap out, so you're call on that one.
