Durable Paint Recommendation?

Hey guys and girls,

I'm looking for a good, durable, rattle-can paint to re-paint the center section of my hood with. Currently, it has several coats of grey, and textured black which is chipping away with time. I plan on sanding down to the primer coat, re-priming and re-painting the center... What paint have you guys had the best luck with??

TIA!!!

I’ve used Rust-Oleum Professional Hammered finish on a number of outdoor projects and have never been let down. My sport tubes and roof rails are painted using this paint - 3 years of SC heat/coastal salt and still looks fantastic.

If you like the textured look, Raptor liner. I have it on my steel bumper and sliders.

Im waiting on my order of Steel-It to come in.

Trophy truck teams that race in Baja coat their cages and suspension parts with it and take a bunch of abuse from rock chips. I am about to paint my plate bumper with the stuff. It is about $25 a can.

I'm no paint expert but I used this stuff on my sliders and its held up great. The surface finish was also really nice. Pretty impressed with the end result and durability.

Another thought would be to clean up what you have, protect the paint from rust, and wrap it.
