Hey all,

I just got Durban Bay Pro for $199 (free shipping) via Target. I got one for both me and wife.

Good God those things are heavy.

The published weight for most of their folders is more than my steel frame single speed 29er.

How much does your bike weigh? I have no clue about bikes. My Durban has 6061 aluminum frame or something...26 lbs. I guess that those reinforcements around where the latches are (to fold) adds weight?

I have a SOMA Juice 29er (which is a damn huge bike) that weights about 26# fully assembled.

Those bikes are super heavy. Not sure if that's a big deal if you don't plan on transporting them much.

Yeah, mine is 26 lbs fully assembled. I can carry with one hand easily. And it folds in half (literally)...so, compact to carry and store. So, i can easily stuff at least both mine and wife's bike into my MDX trunk...along with other stuff. No bike carrier needed.

For me, 26 lbs is NOT the problem...it is the SIZE of the bike that is the problem. My garage is somewhat tight with 3 cars and countless other junk in there. I am no professional biker...so, saving a few lbs to race is not a priority.

And mine is $200. How much is your bike fully assembled?

LOL...now i think about it...my bike is like a Yugo and yours like a Lexus LS.........but damn it, my Yugo is compact!

What's funny is how comfortable it is, I mean, if you get tired of one position you can change the seat height and handlebar height to different levels and keep going. I truly love this little bike. Plus if I get tired or stress my back, I can put it in electric mode and have a twenty mile range.
